Maria Hill has a point.
In fact, if Su Che really wanted to, then as long as you appeared in front of him, it wouldn't matter if it was the army or anyone else—Su Che could destroy it immediately. The power of water is soft but equally terrifying. Su Che could casually use a drop of water to riddle a car full of holes. So what if Su Che wanted to and fully exerted his true power? How much moisture is there in the air? How much water is there on Earth? When it comes to harm, Su Che has the ability to flood a city, or even the entire Earth!
Of course, it's not like Su Che is completely invincible now. That's just his danger level! Unless Su Che hides directly in the deep sea, a single mushroom [bomb] could turn him into ashes. One bullet could end Su Che's life if he's caught off guard.
Huh...
Wait!
When Su Che acquired this ability, the water pressure, breathing issues, and even resistance of the seabed ceased to exist for him. Does that mean Su Che is invincible as long as he is in the bottomless sea? After all, even the explosion of a mushroom [bomb] might not harm Su Che at the bottom of the water.
Tsk.
The fake Aquaman, who could only use a trident to stop a water riot, then got tied up with a lasso of truth and spoke his shameful secrets. The real Aquaman could transform the moisture in the air into a massive tsunami with just a wave of his hand! He could even flood the Earth, making the Noah's Ark story a reality.
Ahem!
Aquaman? No, we are civilized, you and I!
"I agree with you!" Nick Fury nodded, listening to Maria Hill's analysis. "So, what's your conclusion?"
"I have no idea!" Facing Nick Fury's inquiry, Maria Hill was silent for a moment before shaking her head. "I don't know how to handle him either."
"The last one who made us feel this helpless was Dr. Bruce Banner, who turns into the green titan due to gamma rays. It's just that for Dr. Banner, we aren't truly helpless; we just can't utilize him... But the methods for dealing with Dr. Banner definitely won't work on Su Che. After all, if you lock him in an airtight container and throw him into the bottom of the sea, it might just become Su Che's home turf instead."
"However, Su Che is not without weaknesses, but only if..."
"No!" Hearing Hill's words, Nick Fury immediately shook his head. "Su is not our enemy, Hill. And what you're suggesting and thinking about, are you willing to make the whole of New York pay the price? What's more, even if we could afford that price, are you sure we could really destroy Su? You're still underestimating him."
"Then what should we do? Just leave him alone?" Listening to Nick Fury, Maria Hill remained expressionless.
"Who said anything about leaving him alone? Didn't you see I've sent Natasha Romanoff to be with him? Not to mention, I sent him the twins, Wanda and Pietro."
"I don't get it, Nick. It's the same with Sue..."
"Hill, if you get the chance in the future, you'll know," Nick Fury said, showing a rare smile within S.H.I.E.L.D. "Sometimes, emotions are better weapons than actual weapons. Of course, I can't tell you the specifics."
"Okay, anyway, you are the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Since you think you have a way, then I have no objection." Glancing at the time—almost midnight—Maria Hill stood up. "I'm going to rest."
"Go ahead." Watching Hill turn to leave, Nick Fury stopped her again. When Hill turned back, Nick Fury smiled and said, "Do me a favor, don't report things about Su Che to those guys from the World Security Council."
"Okay!" Without the slightest hesitation, Maria Hill nodded and turned to leave. Nick Fury cares for the planet more than anyone else. So, no reporting it is. Since he's confident, she didn't need to overthink it.
Watching Hill leave and noting she considerately closed the office door behind her, Nick Fury picked up his phone and sent a text message to Natasha Romanoff.
Then he opened his private records and raised the danger level of the entry related to Su Che to the highest level. Simultaneously, he added a remark:
"Once Su Che exhibits dangerous tendencies or intentions, eliminate him at all costs. If necessary, you can drop the hard N [i.e., nuclear bombs] on him!"
Yeah, don't be fooled by what Nick Fury swore to Hill. However, for someone like Su Che, who possesses the ability to destroy a city or even the Earth, Nick Fury couldn't bring himself to trust 100 percent.
Even his last resort, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)... Nick Fury had prepared means to deal with her too. The Tesseract, including studying one of its purposes for creating weapons, wasn't just for dealing with aliens. Of course, this point, or this dark line of thinking, was known only to himself!
Trusting someone one hundred percent, without any reservation? There was absolutely no way Nick Fury could do that!
