Levi kept his face neutral. "Who else is going to be there?"
"My family. Board members. Outside investors for contract negotiations."
"And if I don't go?" Levi asked.
Noah's response came after a brief pause. "According to the contract we signed."
'He's going there. Using the contract as leverage.'
"Clause 7," Noah continued. "The contract. The United Front clause. You agreed to attend necessary public functions."
He didn't finish the sentence.
Levi almost laughed.
But Levi's thoughts finished it. If Noah gets removed, he loses his protection, and his ability to defend himself from his own family.
And if they remove him, they might try to eliminate him entirely.
The scandal with the original host's family proves whoever was behind that doesn't do half-measures.
Which means if Noah dies, Levi also loses whatever protection the head position provides. The Sterlings would come after Levi next.
