Chapter 8 - CHAPTER EIGHT

Brey POV

I am so angry and nervous right now! My sister, my twin, was able to get herself seen by a human civilian. She even spoke to it! This is so Bad! It will probably ruin our treaty. The PRESIDENT and those few that Know of us made this a specific request. The Ability to flash in and out of their Atmosphere makes the Humans very upset. They still do not believe the "We come in peace scenario" as the PRESIDENT called it. Even though that is the exact case here.

To top off the situation she smelled so high of arousal I could have sworn she masturbated for him too. When she flashed back to the ship, she had a soft look in her eyes and a smile on her lips. I told her in my commanding voice "MY OFFICE NOW NAVIGATOR!" I watched as her smile faded, and pain rippled across her features for a split second before she schooled her features into a blank mask. She then Raised her Chin and straightened her spine while on the flash pad and looked down on me like a Leader of Power. She did not even look at me when she gave her salute as protocol and stepped down from the flash pad to walk past me.

I may have been angry at the time but that reaction from my twin told me that I had upset her in some way. I could not help but think "I am not the one breaking treaty with humans. I did nothing wrong!" Still, it made me wonder.

I reached my office not more than a few seconds after her and she was already standing by the window looking out on the big gas giant, she put us in hold behind. My office was not very large as we are an exploring vessel and most of my time was spent in interaction with the crew at different parts of the ship. This was how things were done on my vessel. No surprise to the Engineering Crew when the Captain was walking through their part of the ship.

But that window took up the whole wall to the left of My table. Behind my table was my sparse chair. It only had the padding on the seat and back with a swivel padded headrest that was attached just above the seat back itself and support my neck and head without my horns getting in the way. That feature alone had helped a lot when I got a headache dealing with the Vaulted Council. Other than that, the computer was of course voice and touch interface recessed into the table and there were two standard guest chairs able to be holo-constructed as needed through the application on the computer. The floor and walls and Ceiling were the standard grey scale pattern of all Draco EX10 vessels that were created for this mission.

Sheta's posture was not straight as we were taught in training. Her head declined slightly, and her shoulders were slumped. My anger vanished.

"She, what is really happening here?" I tried to talk with her again using the softest tone I ever had. She turned to me tears streaking her face. She just stared at me as I watched her swallow repeatedly, like she could not get food or drink to go down.

Her reply was shaking her head and crying harder. I went to her then and wrapped my fingers around my twins. "Tell me what is going on She. You looked so happy coming back and I ruined it. I am sorry, I only want happiness and love in your heart." She began crying harder and I was lost. I didn't know what to do so I just quietly waited until her crying slowed and her breathing began to even. She was much calmer than when I first entered my office. "She, please talk to me." I whispered to her. She replied with one word that froze everything in me. "Siterian."

My first thought was "How do you know? You were not taught about it yet." I took a deep shocked Breath and lifted my sisters chin to stare into my eyes. "Sheta, Tell me why you feel this way." That pained look crossed her face again before she closed her eyes and silent tears began again.

It took long seconds before she swallowed again and opened her electric purple eyes and stared into mine when she said in a slow pained whisper "He is beautiful. His sent intrigued me. That alone pulled me around to look into his eyes. They match my skin B." Then she gave me a slight smile and said "I think his name is Nico and I hurt everywhere. Like I never have before B. I can not think and I can barely breathe." She let go of my hands and wrapped her arms around her middle tightly and continued "The only thing that is keeping me upright is thinking of his sent and his beautiful eyes. I can't take this much longer. Please call Wilki.

I watched my sisters eyes roll to the base of her horns. I reached out to catch her as her legs gave out. I was not quite fast enough to hold her up and I landed on the floor with Sheta curled in my lap like a torsinito pup. I called out "Draco EX1010, signal Meditera Mailitis to my location" Now I hold my passed-out twin and wait.

It did not take Wilki very long at all to show up at my office panel and swiped her emergency code to enter. All leadership aboard my vessel were allowed access to all areas of the ship. Not everyone of us knew everything about each department in the vessel but all were cross trained to basic tasks for each other.

Wilki out of breath spoke to me in short words. "B. I am here." She looked down at Sheta and immediately began to assess her condition. "Her Stats are everywhere! Her heartrate is too fast, breathing is too shallow and rapid, temperature is at heat level and she is out of cycle according to records, her reaction to touch is presenting as a pain response." At the last her head snapped up and her eyes got wide. "B....." She swallowed hard. "Where was Sheta at half an hour ago?"

I just looked down at my twin. My heart hurt so badly. This was all my fault. I could lose my twin. I took as deep a breath as I could with my chest squeezing into a setiyan box and answered Wilki. "With her Siterian."

Wilki gasped and then sighed. "B. You will have to bring her to medical. I can only give her Iteru extract to ease her pain and Derniter Root to keep her asleep." She looked Back at me and asked "Do you know Anything?"

I began to explain. "I believe his name is Nico. I called her back when her comm pinged the location of a human male within the space of ten of human feet. I was worried and upset and angry. I just Flashed her back without a second thought." Wilki replied" She now has mating sickness. Most do not last more than four possibly five days. At least at home. Here it may seem longer for their shorter days. But I wouldn't expect survival if Nico cannot be found and convinced to be with Sheta."

Wilki Sighed again and walked behind me as I carried Sheta to medical. The whole way there we had to be careful that no one was in the corridors. I did not want to give our people false hope or cause a reason for random unauthorized flashes to the surface. It would demolish our treaty with the PRESIDENT and the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. As it stood, they would have to be notified of this development.

"Siterian." The word echoed in my head. I really could not think. Then the words of Latier whispered in my head. "Remember always the Siteri is the heart, without her there is no love. Siterian is the strength without him there is no protection. Together they provide the greatest need of any being...Home."

This human is important to my sister's survival. The words of Latier would not have sounded off in my mind if it were not so. After carrying my sister covertly to medical I left her to sleep and contacted our only ally in this mission.

"Mr. President forgive the intrusion, but I must speak with you. Can you make time?" I addressed him as formally as I could while I let my eyes plead to him. Humans do show their age at a faster rate than Amiterans. The Presidents hair showed the white of age with the smallest amount of dark brown along the sides of his head. His face was a map of Deep lines that showed his experience with eyes like the Alor Sea that shown with kindness and A calm deep voice came from the aged humans full smiling lips.

"Captain, I will always make time. The technology your species has provided in exchange for our help has advanced our medical practices beyond our imagining. Do you need more genetic samples?" I spoke to him and let the gratitude I felt into every word because this was going to be difficult. "Thank you, Mr. President. This does not require more of the samples that you have graciously supplied to our efforts. It does however require one specific human though."
