Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

I'm Ariel Lucian Majilk, and a lot of people would describe me as someone shy, quiet, or boring, but just because I don't speak much doesn't mean I'm quiet or boring. Well, I'm kinda just when I'm in public, but much of the time I'm in my own world. I would describe myself as someone who hides behind everyone, hiding their faces, so I would say, it isn't that complicated of a life, I promise.

Today, as on other days, I got out of the school bus and started looking around as if I was looking for someone, but in truly I just felt something weird it wasn't the pancakes I ate in the morning it was something, but I continued walking, ignoring that feeling as I walk to the entry of to the school while I was walking over there I stopped and looked to my right in there was a man of old age he was well dressed in a green suit he was serious he had dark skin with a falling mustache that had white and black hair, his afro hair just had a short haircut. I stared for some seconds, it wasn't someone I remembered, but I continued walking mostly because no one stopped to salute or look at him, I felt like a weirdo.

When I got to the entry, I slightly saw two other men who were dressed in suits covered by a large coat with their hands on their backs as guards. I realized something was weird but my steps were already stepping into the school. A light covered my face, and I quickly covered my face with my hands for a moment every sound disappeared, whisper, student talking, teacher screaming but all came back in seconds, so I took my hands off my face.

I was surrounded by students as before, but this time they were dressed in white shirts with long sleeves covered by a blue robe that had golden embroidery followed by a hood and also had long sleeves. It took a second, but I was dressed the same as them just that I had a suitcase in my hand.

The students were following a stone path, some students were dressed differently. I didn't know where the students were going, but I started following them generally, and we just walked for minutes. We were mostly surrounded by pine trees in the deep of the forest. You would see falling trees that were covered by the cold morning mist that crossed my eyes and bit my arms with the cold feeling. The students were just talking with their partners, and they had a very British accent and very straightforward conversations.

Very far away, I saw a man standing firmly dressed in a white suit. I thought for a moment of going to him and asking some questions, but I thought it would be something weird when I was already there. I just passed by him but I came back to stand in front of him. "Um… Hello" I say nervously, he had this gaze that would tear you apart he growled crossing his arms. "What do you need?" he say while he looked me up and down like analyzing his prey. "I'm a bit lost, I don't think I'm supposed to be here." I say he didn't say anything and just took out a scroll when he opened it and it rolled to the floor. "What your name?" the man asked, his tone was launching some pressure "Ariel" I responded quickly he stood in silence for a moment, reading through the scroll. "Ohh" he says, changing his tone was something that he read that surprised him? I stood in silence, curious "You, one of the costes" he say, I didn't say anything he put a thoughtful face after saying "Um… you can follow me." He joined the student more to the front we separated from the students and we took another pathway that was made of dirt.

After a while, we ended up on a concrete brick pathway through the garden of a gorgeous castle. I couldn't see all the castle, but it already seemed big. It had some concrete benches and a pot full of plants, the benches had green stuff showing that they hadn't been used in a while. I was behind him, trying to walk at his speed so I could start a conversation and ask a question, but his speed didn't help. In no time, he got to the door of the castle, which was made of wood and had a beautiful carving of two warriors on top of a horse, crashing their weapons.

''Oh, right, I haven't presented myself yet." he say, then he turned around to face me. "My name is Carden Armith, and I'm a professional swordmaster. "Is this some kind of school?" I say, trying to continue with the conversation, but Carden looks kind of confused about my question "You are in Crows Harden Haims" he says as the door opens.
