Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Bronya, Your Acting Was Amazing!

["After eliminating the Voidrangers of the Antimatter Legion, Kafka seemed unsatisfied and asked with slight disappointment, 'Since when has the Antimatter Legion become so weak?'"]

[The girl replied leisurely, "This is all the forces I could lure here. You wouldn't want to attract the attention of the Legion's main army, would you?"]

["If they're only this weak, they won't be able to hold back the group from the Astral Express."]

["Don't worry," the girl's voice was full of confidence. "A Doomsday Beast is coming too."]

[Hearing the words "Doomsday Beast," Kafka said nothing more. She walked straight toward a bridge inside the space station, where various portraits were displayed on both sides.]

[She stopped at the first portrait, which depicted a black-haired man. Upon closer inspection, his name was written below—Zandar.]

["This is Zandar. Zandar I·Kuwabara, the first genius in history."]

[The girl's voice carried a hint of surprise. "The one who supposedly created the Nous in legend?"]

["That's him. If the legends are true, then he's the man who created an Aeon."]

["Let's hope it's not true. I don't want to become a Zandar Hunter." The girl sighed.]

——

"Create… an Aeon?"

Mavuika set down her wine glass and took a deep breath, yet her chaotic thoughts refused to settle.

Precisely because she possessed divine power, she understood the weight of the word "god" far better than ordinary people. Even though "Aeon" was an unfamiliar concept to her, she could more or less guess its significance.

But what was even more shocking in the Celestial Screen was that, in that world, humans could actually create gods.

God-making… the weight of this concept far exceeded Mavuika's understanding.

She had already begun to sense a premonition: the world within the Celestial Screen might possess power far beyond that of Teyvat's gods… even the Heavenly Principles.

As she lost herself in thought, the content on the Celestial Screen changed. After examining the other portraits, Kafka walked straight into a room at the end of the bridge.

[A Voidranger had long been waiting inside the room. Kafka disposed of it effortlessly, but as the Voidranger dissipated into light orbs, another one rose behind her and launched a sneak attack, thrusting a blade toward her.]

[Kafka didn't even turn her head, merely adjusting her cuffs with a smile. The moment the blade was about to strike, the monster's weapon dissolved into tiny cubes, vanishing into the air.]

[It was as if an invisible barrier had formed behind Kafka—anything that touched it would disintegrate into nothingness.]

["'Cleaning up after others isn't my job.'"]

[As she spoke, the camera in the Celestial Screen pulled back, finally revealing the girl who had been conversing with Kafka the entire time.]

[Her silver-gray hair was tied into a single spiral ponytail, with rabbit-like hair accessories that gave her a playful, adorable charm.]

[Her upper body was clad in a black-and-white cropped top that didn't emphasize much curvature, paired with a midriff-baring jacket that showcased her soft, youthful waistline.]

[Her low-rise fishnet shorts revealed slender, straight legs as light as willow catkins in spring. Perhaps due to the thigh straps, her legs didn't look monotonous, with a slight hint of flesh squeezed by the bands.]

[As for the area on her upper body that should have been eye-catching… at first glance, it was remarkably… flat.]

The moment this scene appeared, in another world at St. Freya Academy, a girl named Bronya was struck with utter bewilderment.

"That's… me?"

The identical hair color, facial features, even the tone and manner of speech—not to mention the famously flat terrain—it was as if they were carved from the same mold.

Maybe it's just someone who looks like me… The world is vast, so it's not impossible for there to be people with identical appearances and voices, right?

Bronya took a deep breath, trying to console herself with that thought.

["'Alright, alright. Where did you toss it, Silver Wolf?'"]

["'Just a random coordinate, nothing special. Do you care where that Voidranger went?'" The girl called Silver Wolf shrugged nonchalantly.]

["'Not really. It's just that no matter how many times I see it, your methods never fail to amaze me.'"]

["'Just tweaking reality's data. A trivial trick.' Silver Wolf shrugged, blowing a big bubble with her gum."]

But the moment the camera zoomed in for a close-up of Silver Wolf's face, Bronya was stunned. So was everyone who knew Bronya, all staring dumbfounded at the "Silver Wolf" conversing with Kafka on the Celestial Screen, their expressions screaming, "I don't understand, but I'm thoroughly shocked."

In an instant, Valkyries from the academy crowded around her.

"Bronya, look! That's you, right? She looks exactly like you, just as cute! Did you secretly film some kind of movie during your last mission outside?"

"So that means this Celestial Screen isn't actually related to the Honkai? It's just Schicksal's new technology? I never thought modern science could achieve something like this."

"Bronya, you can hide it from others, but from us?" Kiana pouted as she leaned in.

"Kiana, maybe Bronya wanted to surprise us?" Mei interjected gently with a smile. "If she told us in advance, it wouldn't be much of a surprise, would it?"

"That's true. But—" Kiana grinned as she nudged Bronya. "Bronya, your acting was amazing! So natural! I really thought that was another version of you from another world."

The people surrounding Bronya chattered excitedly. At first, they had thought this might be another harbinger of a Honkai eruption. But the moment Bronya's face appeared on the Celestial Screen, almost everyone's shock turned into delight.

This was… so freaking cool!

Meanwhile, Bronya, the person in question, was utterly dumbfounded. She stared blankly at Silver Wolf on the Celestial Screen and quickly waved her hands. "No, no! Kiana, I didn't film anything like that. And that person… probably isn't me… right?"

By the end, her voice had faded to a near-whisper. She couldn't even convince herself. After all, aside from the single-drill hairstyle, the girl named "Silver Wolf" in the footage was identical to her in every way.

But more than that, the name "Silver Wolf" was what caught her attention the most.

"The Silver Wolf of the Urals"—that was the title she went by as a mercenary in Siberia before entering Cocolia's orphanage.

Not many people knew about this. Yet now, a girl who looked exactly like her on the Celestial Screen was also called that name. It was hard to believe this "Silver Wolf" had no connection to her.

Even the methods she used seemed to carry a hint of hacking—something Bronya was all too familiar with.
