Chapter 127 - The Clan Head Meeting

The Third Hokage was speechless in his heart; how could he possibly stand on the Uchiha Clan's side?

Danzō, that guy, was still too petty.

The Uchiha Clan had completely risen to power. He, the Third Hokage, faced the risk of being driven from his position—a very significant risk, in fact.

It was only natural for the strongest in the village to serve as Lord Hokage.

He didn't consider himself the strongest in the village anymore. After all, he couldn't replicate the magnificent battle record of Uchiha Ryōsuke. So, should he, the Third Hokage, step down?

The answer was, of course, no.

He spoke slowly.

"Danzō, you worry too much. This time, I will definitely stand firmly on your side."

Seeing the Third Hokage's stance, Danzō felt relieved.

It was good that he had this determination; it saved Danzō from future worries.

"Then we shall wait for the Third Hokage to convene the Clan Head Meeting."

He then stood up and left the office directly.

The Third Hokage sat quietly in the office.

After thinking for a long while, he was certain that almost all clans stood on the opposite side of the Uchiha Clan this time.

Although the Hyūga Clan might be an exception, even if those two clans united, they couldn't stand against the entire village.

Regarding this matter, even if the Uchiha Clan was unwilling, unless they wanted to start a war...

And starting a war inside the Leaf Village headquarters was not comparable to facing a few hundred Cloud Village ninja.

Facing thousands of Leaf Village ninja, even a powerful clan would have to reconsider.

He had no choice but to make this decision.

He had to suppress them, even at the risk of conflict.

If he didn't suppress them now, as time passed, the village might turn its heart toward that clan. Without the support of other clans, wouldn't his position as Third Hokage exist in name only?

Subsequently, he ordered Anbu members to notify the various Clan Heads. The Clan Head Meeting would be held in two days.

In the Uchiha Clan grounds, after receiving the notice, Fugaku immediately went to inform Ryōsuke.

Because during the last Clan Head Meeting, the Konoha high command had forced the Uchiha Clan to move their grounds, this time was likely another conspiracy targeting the Uchiha Clan. He couldn't afford to be careless.

And Ryōsuke was now the actual decision-maker of the Uchiha Clan.

Fugaku didn't want to relive those memories of being stifled. Ryōsuke had a way to deal with the powerful Cloud Village ninja, so there should be a way to deal with this Clan Head Meeting too.

He even looked forward to the high command's targeting; he didn't need to be afraid at all.

Because his Mangekyō Sharingan eye power had long indicated the Uchiha Clan's bright future.

It was destined to walk a path of glory under Uchiha Ryōsuke's leadership.

With such a future, what was there to fear?

He arrived at Ryōsuke's home immediately.

He told Ryōsuke everything and asked with anticipation, "Ryōsuke, do you want to attend this meeting with me?"

Ryōsuke was a bit puzzled hearing about the Clan Head Meeting. Why convene a Clan Head Meeting out of the blue?

Perhaps they were going to take measures against the Uchiha Clan?

Thinking of this, he looked at Fugaku and said, "Alright."

With his current strength, he was enough to sweep through the Leaf Village. If the other side made trouble, or even wanted to use the combined forces of the various factions to suppress the Uchiha Clan, the Uchiha Clan feared nothing. They would just flip the table and be done with it.

Hearing this, Fugaku felt a surge of joy.

With Ryōsuke attending, they could definitely handle it.

And Ryōsuke wouldn't swallow his anger like Fugaku used to.

Two days later, the Clan Head Meeting formally convened in the large conference room of the Hokage Building.

At the appointed time, Uchiha Fugaku led Ryōsuke slowly into the conference room.

The originally somewhat noisy conference room instantly became quiet.

The current Uchiha Clan held immense prestige in the Leaf Village.

Naturally, it was because of their outstanding battle records.

Not only did the clan contribute greatly in the southeast against the Mist Village, but recently they even crushed the Cloud Village army.

Such a clan had re-demonstrated what it meant to be the strongest clan in the Leaf Village, or even the strongest clan in the ninja world.

It was as if the Uchiha Clan that once swept through the ninja world alongside the Senju Clan had returned.

Naturally, some Clan Heads were excited. As the saying goes, it is good to take shade under a big tree. With such a powerful clan protecting the village, they didn't need to worry about invasions from other countries. Even expanding the territory again wasn't impossible.

These families could at least get some soup if not meat.

Where there is respect, there is hostility. Especially those families who suffered painful blows and lost many clansmen during the Nine-Tails Rampage; they hated them even more.

If the Uchiha Clan could defeat the Cloud Village army, how could they dare say they didn't control the Nine-Tails?

It was obvious they didn't like the young Fourth Hokage and wanted to remove him.

This clan was a danger to the entire Leaf Village.

Regardless of whether they felt awe or hatred, the families unanimously stayed away from the Uchiha Clan.

Ryōsuke sighed. He didn't expect the family to receive this treatment.

There wasn't even a friendly family coming up to say hello.

Although it didn't matter, if one lived in the Leaf Village and treated it as home, how could one get by without a single friendly family?

Not long after, Hyūga Hiashi walked into the conference room, also bringing his younger brother, Hyūga Hizashi.

The two of them greeted Fugaku and Ryōsuke amicably and sat down nearby.

Hyūga Hizashi looked grateful. In the recent Cloud Village incident, thanks to the Uchiha Clan's leadership, he hadn't successfully sacrificed his life.

Actually, his decision back then was impulsive. When he returned home and saw his young son Neji, he felt ashamed.

Neji was still so small; without a father's care, what would happen to him in the clan?

Although he felt his older brother wouldn't mistreat Hyūga Neji, Hiashi ultimately couldn't replace the position of a father.

So he was sincerely grateful to the Uchiha Clan now.
