Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: A World of Beys?

The sound of soft footsteps entered the room before a gentle voice followed.

"Oh, you're awake."

Axamu blinked slowly, turning his head toward the sound. A young woman in a crisp white uniform stood beside his bed, holding a clipboard. Her face was calm, but her eyes glimmered with relief.

"You collapsed in the middle of the street," she explained. "Some bystanders brought you here. You've been unconscious for a few hours."

Axamu swallowed hard. His throat was dry, but he forced his voice out. "…Um… I know this is weird but… can you help me explain about this world? Because I think I had… amnesia after I collapsed."

The nurse tilted her head, surprise flickering in her eyes. "Amnesia? That's… unusual, but…" She hesitated, then pulled a chair closer to his bedside. "If you really don't remember, then I'll try to explain."

She folded her hands on her lap, speaking slowly, as though teaching a child.

"This is the Beyblade X World. It's a world built on battles. Here, Beyblading isn't just a game—it's a way of life. Competitions happen everywhere, from street corners to massive stadiums. People settle disputes, prove their worth, and even build their futures through Bey battles."

Axamu's chest tightened as he listened. The nurse's voice carried an almost reverent tone, as though describing the backbone of their civilization.

"Most Bladers dream of climbing the X Tower—a colossal structure at the center of this world. Each floor represents a rank, and with every victory, you ascend higher. Only the strongest can reach the top. The one who conquers the tower becomes the X Champion, a title of honor and authority. They say the Champion holds the power to change the world itself."

She paused, studying his reaction, then continued.

"Children grow up training with their Beys. Schools teach Beyblade mechanics, launch techniques, and even strategy as part of the curriculum. Cities thrive on Beyblade leagues, businesses sponsor bladers, and entire regions hold their own tournaments."

Her voice softened, a small smile forming. "It may sound strange, but here, a person's identity—status, pride, even their survival—often depends on their skill with a Bey."

Axamu's fists tightened under the blanket. So it really is like the anime… but real.

The nurse leaned back slightly, setting the clipboard aside. "That's the world you've woken up in. The Beyblade X World."

Axamu's lips trembled. He forced a weak chuckle, but it came out bitter. "So… I'm really stuck in a world where spinning tops decide everything?"

The nurse tilted her head again, not catching his sarcasm. "I wouldn't call them just spinning tops. For us, Beys are everything."

Axamu fell silent, staring at the ceiling. The weight of her words pressed down on him. A world where he didn't belong, ruled by something he hadn't touched since childhood.

"…What the hell am I supposed to do here?" he whispered under his breath.
