There were still several years before she could complete the main mission. This pure, untroubled time was extremely precious for Celestial Weave.
She didn't need to think about how to earn medical fees, nor how to defeat strong opponents on the track. All she had to do was train day after day in her peaceful life, silently accumulating strength.
Initially, Isami had wanted to ask her former trainer to guide them, but after a few morning runs with her daughters and seeing Celestial Weave's guidance of Saint-King Halo and her grasp of training intensity, she quietly put her worries to rest.
This level of basic training was sufficient. As for more systematic racing techniques, they could learn from their own trainers after formally entering Tracen Academy.
For the young Saint-King Halo, these days were tedious. But out of her pride and self-esteem as an older sister, she wouldn't allow herself to quit.
Gradually, the love for racing that was ingrained in every horse girl's instinct made her let go of her resistance and fully devote herself to training.
Of course, another reason she persisted was her talent.
Saint-King Halo possessed a talent that far surpassed Celestial Weave's. Whether it was her flexible body or her nimble steps, she even broke through her own limits faster than her sister.
Victory brings its own kind of pleasure.
And for Saint-King Halo, who valued pride and self-esteem immensely, winning against Celestial Weave again and again in training earned her her younger sister's admiration.
A first-class sister must, of course, surpass her younger sister in every way. Only then can I be her guiding light, Saint-King Halo thought, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
For anyone else, this immature way of thinking, combined with countless failures and the glaring talent gap, might have led to feelings of inferiority.
But not for Celestial Weave. In her heart, training was just training. The abilities she accumulated were what mattered most; she didn't care about winning or losing.
As for the talent gap?
She had already experienced the crushing pressure of a genius on that rain-soaked Tokyo Racecourse.
When faced with the desperate pressure of Tokai Teio finishing seven horse lengths ahead of second place, Celestial Weave's answer was to surpass her, to become the sole champion with an absolute advantage.
The training that could have created a twisted relationship for any other pair of sisters was, for Celestial Weave and Saint-King Halo, strangely calm and normal.
But in this world, nothing is eternal except change itself. This life was destined to end. The day Celestial Weave stepped into Tracen Academy once more, the fate that had been paused between them began to tick again.
Tick... tock...
The clock hands moved, the numbers changed. The morning sun shone through the window, forming a brilliant beam of light in the air.
Her biological clock, honed by years of morning training, woke Celestial Weave up before the alarm went off. She got out of bed as usual.
She changed into her Tracen uniform, tied the bow at her collar, and skillfully combed her hair into a ponytail.
Today was the day of her debut race. The location was Tokyo Racecourse.
This somewhat familiar scene didn't feel particularly strange to Celestial Weave. It was close by, after all. Most Tracen students held their debut races at Tokyo Racecourse.
After leaving the dormitory, Celestial Weave walked straight past the school gate, got on the train, and returned to that familiar place.
She looked around, found a staff member, and handed over her contestant pass to enter the racecourse early.
There was still some time before the race began. Not only had the audience not arrived yet, but Celestial Weave was the only contestant there.
Horse girls who hadn't debuted yet didn't have racing outfits. In the empty locker room, Celestial Weave changed into the sportswear marked with her number.
After all preparations were complete, she officially stepped onto the track.
The warm, gentle sunlight fell on the green grass, and the familiar fresh scent surrounded her. Stepping onto this track again, the memories of Tokyo Racecourse buried deep within her were reawakened.
However, unlike the somewhat oppressive and solemn rainy atmosphere, today's weather was clear and sunny. The golden sunlight on her skin made her feel as if she were wrapped in warmth.
Looking at the exceptionally clear blue sky, Celestial Weave took a deep breath.
Until this moment, she hadn't felt anything special about the debut race. It was only when she stepped onto the Tokyo Racecourse again that she finally realized what it represented.
"After the debut race, I can participate in official races. In other words, the mission is officially starting."
Looking at the gentle sun in the sky, Celestial Weave squinted slightly.
The start of the mission was the end of her daily life.
The daily life she had grown so accustomed to over the past ten years, everything she had left behind at the Halo household, would all come to an end with the start of the mission.
But so what? It was just the end of the training phase where she had been accumulating strength. This was just a scenario. There were more important things waiting for her.
The moment complicated thoughts were about to arise in her mind, Celestial Weave coldly cut them all off.
"Hey, I didn't expect anyone to be here this early!"
A girlish voice came from behind her. Celestial Weave composed herself and turned to face her opponent in this race.
The horse girl before her had medium-length golden hair that shimmered under the sun, as if she herself had become as warm as the sun.
Looking into those purple-gold eyes, Celestial Weave nodded slightly and said, "You're here quite early too."
Celestial Weave could see the anticipation in the other horse girl's eyes. Unlike herself, who was used to this routine, she must have woken up early specifically for the debut race.
Sure enough, hearing Celestial Weave's words, the other horse girl scratched her head shyly. "Hehe, I was too excited yesterday. The thought of officially debuting made me want to get here as soon as possible."
"I can't let everyone's expectations down!"
As she spoke, the horse girl couldn't help but pat her chest, as if to pump herself up.
Looking at her healthy physique, Celestial Weave glanced her over and then silently lowered her head.
"Eh?"
The golden-haired horse girl tilted her head in confusion, wondering why the other had suddenly stopped talking.
It wasn't until she felt the intense gaze on her legs that she belatedly blushed, waved her hands in the air a few times, then covered her thighs with her hands and exclaimed, flustered, "What are you looking at!"
Even though it was normal to show one's legs, being stared at like that would make anyone feel strangely shy.
Celestial Weave seemed not to notice her embarrassment and continued to look at her thighs, her tone calm. "No wonder you're so confident. You're quite strong."
"Huh?!"
