Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – Ambitious

Elvie Ritz

As I stood before the mirror, the soft glow of the dressing room's vanity lights framing my face, I couldn't help but admire the way the elegant red dress clung to my curves. The fabric whispered promises of luxury and indulgence, and the diamond necklace that adorned my neck sparkled with every movement. Today was a day I had been secretly looking forward to, a day that held the potential to change everything for me.

However, the truth behind my glamorous attire was a carefully guarded secret. Kevin, my live-in partner, believed that I had an important modeling gig today, one that required a new dress to impress the casting director. But that couldn't be farther from the truth. Instead, I had a date with Mr. Pattinson, an older but immensely wealthy businessman who owned one of the city's most exclusive clubs. He had a reputation for being a sugar daddy to many models, and today, I was stepping into that world.

As I applied a final layer of crimson lipstick, my reflection seemed to glow with a mixture of excitement and guilt. Kevin had always been there for me, supporting me through both good times and bad. He was practical and responsible, always focused on our financial struggles. He had no idea about the choices I was making today, and he wouldn't understand. But this date was an opportunity I couldn't pass up; it was a chance to escape the cycle of financial worry and finally taste the kind of luxury I had only ever dreamed of.

I grabbed my designer purse and headed for the door, glancing around our apartment one last time. This was my window of opportunity, a chance to slip away without arousing his suspicion. I knew I couldn't let him in on my plans, not yet.

As I stepped out onto the bustling city streets, my heart raced with a mix of excitement and anxiety. This date had the potential to open doors that had always been tantalizingly out of reach. I was willing to do whatever it took to secure my future, even if it meant keeping secrets from the man who loved me.

As I entered the opulent lobby of the luxurious hotel, a sense of awe washed over me. The marble floors glistened beneath crystal chandeliers, and the air was scented with the subtle aroma of fresh flowers. This was a world far removed from the modest apartment I shared with Kevin, a world of privilege and extravagance.

I approached the reception desk, my heels clicking on the marble floor, and a well-dressed receptionist greeted me with a warm smile. "Good afternoon, madam. How may I assist you today?"

With a confidence I had practiced many times in front of the mirror, I replied, "I'm Elvie Ritz, and I have a meeting with Mr. Pattinson."

The receptionist nodded politely and picked up the phone, dialing a number. She spoke in hushed tones, and I strained to hear the conversation. After a brief exchange, she hung up and turned her attention back to me.

"Madam Ritz, Mr. Pattinson is expecting you. You can proceed to room 609. Please take the elevator to the sixth floor, and you'll find the room on your left."

I nodded, trying to conceal my nervousness behind a façade of confidence. "Thank you," I replied, and with that, I made my way to the elevator.

As I rode the elevator up to the sixth floor, my heart raced with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. This was it, the moment that could change everything for me. I couldn't help but wonder what Mr. Pattinson had in store, what opportunities he might offer, and how it might impact my future. The journey from the lobby to the sixth floor seemed like a lifetime, each floor passing in slow motion, until finally, I arrived at my destination.

Room 609 stood before me, an unassuming door that held the promise of a world I had only dreamed of. With a deep breath, I raised my hand and knocked, my pulse quickening as I waited for the door to open, and for my life to take a potentially transformative turn.

As I stood outside room 609, I heard a deep voice from within, inviting me to come in. My heart raced with anticipation, and I took a moment to compose myself. I adjusted my hair, ensuring every strand was in place, and applied a hint of cologne to leave a lingering, alluring scent in my wake.

With a nervous yet determined breath, I decided to make a bold impression. I discreetly adjusted my dress, making it slightly more revealing, accentuating my curves. After all, I was here to make an impression, to seize an opportunity that could change my life.

Taking a final deep breath, I turned the doorknob and entered the room. The sight that greeted me caused my heart to skip a beat.

Mr. Pattinson was seated on the sofa, wearing nothing but a bathrobe that hung loosely over his broad shoulders. His silver hair glistened in the soft lighting of the room, and his piercing gaze bore into me as I entered.

I swallowed hard, my nervousness intensifying as I took in the unexpected scene. This was a world I had never ventured into, a world of power and desire that I had only heard whispers of. But I was here for a reason, and I had to summon all my courage to face whatever lay ahead.

Mr. Pattinson's grin widened as he saw me, and he extended a hand to the sofa, inviting me to take a seat beside him. His demeanor exuded confidence, a man who was accustomed to getting what he desired. I hesitated for a moment, my heart pounding in my chest, but I knew I couldn't back down now.

With a forced smile and a fluttering heart, I walked over to the sofa and seated myself next to him. The warmth of his bathrobe brushed against my skin, sending a shiver down my spine. I tried to maintain my composure, to exude the confidence I had practiced in front of the mirror.
