Pov Harris Stark-
Harris Stark advanced through Winterfell with great ease. It's been five years since I was reborn in this world. I didn't have a bad opinion of this world. Unlike its previous world here the magic felt like about twenty times more powerful and intense.
Anyone with magic like mine here would basically be like being reborn in paradise. He could already feel it since he was clearly strengthening his whole being. At the age of five he looked more like a ten-year-old boy. He was reaching the peak of physical age as soon as possible. Harris could honestly say that it is as if magic entered through each of his pores. But there was a brutal difference between him and the inhabitants he was a mage.
His grandfather had discovered that he was a Mage but instead of seeing him locked up or controlled and regulated the hidden and helped him learn. He took him to learn with some of the masters of many magical fields.
For some reason he had a monstrous ability to learn magic. His grandfather called him the blessing of Lady Magic. As one of her aspects is that of magic, it was quite easy to say that she had blessed him to understand, comprehend and accept magic easily. Needless to say, he learned quickly and soon they had to force several magicians with oaths of secrecy to prevent them from getting out of control and discussing it with the ICW.
By the time the organ found out that he was a Mage, he was twenty years old and had matured completely. To make matters worse, he was a terrifying young man who combined the knowledge of science with magic making it even more dangerous.
The ICW only tried to harass him and his family once when he was on an important business trip. His wife Nymphadora died saving their children from what was basically a kidnapping attempt. As a reward for such an action he appeared at the ICW headquarters and took the entire organ hostage. Each country sent attack forces that fell into their runic traps. And then I raise their obvious demands so that each ICW member country would accept and the ICW itself would accept.
Their demand was that they would take an oath tied in the country and the organ that would prevent them from going after their family, trying to make others go for their family and of course an oath to leave them alone. Tied to the country and the organ. No one could go against him. Everyone knew it. In return, he promised not to impose his demands or obligations of any kind on any country or try to submit and control them.
In the end, the ICW was forced to do so and they basically accepted this, which did not sit well with them. This is how the first Mage dynasty grew and expanded around the world, making the Black family such a powerful and strong family on an unprecedented level.
Anyway his body was absorbing the pure magical energy without adultering and without polluting the planet and distributing it throughout his body. It was a massive and intense magical energy that some would say was dangerous. And it was true.
The energy had been about to kill him on a few occasions. Fortunately, even as a baby he knew how to get the energy out of his system. It was a very simple exercise. I use the energy to send it through the law lines since Winterfell was exactly in the nexus of three law lines. It was with that that he was able to discover more about the beautiful land where he lived.
Some would make fun of him calling the North beautiful. He had been able on numerous occasions how people thought that the North was the land of worthless fools. Hariric had heard that that was the opinion of the southerners. The Andal Southerners Reminded him of politicians too much that they were more than capable of selling their mother for nothing. Some were even absolute tyrants.
Some of these nobles had an ego problem that reminded them too much of the pure blood wizards. They were proud of their power however when you looked you wondered what power? The Arryn family was only powerful as it was because of its strategic position in the East, for being self-sufficient and for the simple reason that some of the lords of the Valley had silver mines and had to pay tribute to the Arryn family who ruled them.
They were not powerful by themselves but because as a whole they were powerful. A person could understand being powerful for himself and being proud of them, but being powerful for the whole? Well that and that they had an excellent port for business with Essos. But nothing else.
The riverlands was a fucking joke in Harris's mind. To begin with, the only wealth they had came from the fact that they had a contract with the North to buy food, no more and no less. While some would say that was good Harris was of the opinion that they were his only source of income which meant little. A country is as powerful as its economy is and if it had to be frank the riverlands was rather economically weak because if you took away the contract with the North then they no longer had anything.
The stormlands clearly combined a land of mountains with a very strong climate. They had abundant silver mines which enriched them but they had to buy food from the reach which weakened them although not enough to be a nuisance but enough to make it clear that they were not a powerful kingdom.
The westerlands were a land with large and abundant mines. They had large gold mines which clearly gave them an advantage since gold is valuable and important. The more I pray the better if you had to be frank. Anyway, despite that, they had a problem and that is that their land was not very fertile so they had to buy food from the reach.
Harris knew that the Lannisters had a lord at this time that was a joke but if there was a lesson he had learned it is that when a father is a disappointment the children did exactly everything necessary to be as different from the parents if possible so it was possible that the heirs of the Lannister were the opposite.
The Iron Islands were a set of pirate islands. Honestly, some would confuse this with Vikings. It tasted better. The Vikings were explorers, did they loot? Fuck yes but at the same time they were warriors. They had rules and rules. Those born of iron did not do it. If they could steal it, they would. Honestly, I would prefer a Viking a thousand times.
For a ironborn there was nothing important. They were just murderers and rapists. If it were for him there would be a massacre. He might not seem nice on his part but a long time ago he had come to the conclusion that being kind was a gift of fools on many occasions and here it seemed that it would be the action of a fool to endure an enemy force near his coasts. So I would do everything possible.
Then there was the reach. The green fields as some people called these lands. They were the most fertile lands in all of Westeros. There economy lay completely in what was food production that came to four different parts: The Lannisters, the Baratheons, the royal family and the Martells. They were basically rich because they produced a lot of food and sold it everywhere.
Dorne was finally there. It was an...interesting kingdom. Dorne had customs that combined the Rhoynar culture with the Andalusian although in some cases it was Rhoynar with that of the first men. They were interesting people. They were Slytherin by nature if I had to describe them. They were also stubborn since they were the last kingdom to unite and the only reason they did it was a marriage no more and no less.
However Harris also knew that even despite this the Martells did not love the Targaryen too much and were willing to use any and all measures to force the position of a Martell as queen to slowly take control of the seven kingdoms.
Six of the seven kingdoms. The ruling dynasty: Targaryen. I sincerely sigh. The Targaryen dynasty reminded him too much of pure blood but with steroids. Who the hell thought it was a good idea not to bring new blood to the family in any way? It was stupid and meaningless. You have to constantly improve the blood and with that you had to bring new blood.
I would not deny and say that each or two generations do not bring a little valyria blood to keep the power of the dragon dynasty in your hands but the truth is that there was a lot of magic in the blood of the first men and you could say the same as the Rhoynar. The Andals on the other hand lacked magic at all if he had to say what was a nuisance in his mind since they seemed obsessed with eliminating magic.
Anyway, the Valyrians were a dynasty of dragon tamers. I would have congratulated them for their skills if it weren't for the simple fact that they were idiots.
Instead of creating strong and solid bonds with the dragons of all things, the Valyrians created bonds of slavery. Especially with dragons. The same creatures that were basically the embodiment of strength and power and of nature itself. You had to be completely stupid if you had to say it but in Harris's mind it was normal. People and especially humans rarely understand anyway what magical beings really mean.
But they got what they deserved. Some would say that karma was a case of gods. It wasn't entirely wrong. It was an effect produced by the mother god furious for having enslaved some of her children. Like a Mage he had learned to feel the energy of the world.
He had felt the magic of the world and had connected to his network. Gaia. The consciousness of the world. Frankly, he had only been exposed to her for a few minutes. Normally a world does not take well that no one gets involved in his affairs but Gaia had let him look at things when he asked about the story of Westeros obviously interested knowing that the story in the books would not be in any way efficient.
What Harris had seen and witnessed made his hair stand on end. Gaia was an existence that was the consciousness of the planet. Basically, if humanity somehow became a threat to the planet in the same way that in its old world, it would create a level of catastrophe capable of eradicating them all. When the Valyrios enslaved their children, the Dragons gave them a chance to recover from their actions but when they didn't, what they did was destroy everything.
They say that fire purifies and no one better than Mother Gaia would actually know it. A new race of Dragons would be reborn from the ashes of Valyria. It just wasn't the time yet, apparently.
Anyway, since I was there I had looked at the North. Apparently the first men were Gaia's favorite humans since they were the only ones who had accepted what the change or the difference of being was. If you thought about it, it was interesting to know. At the same time he felt that it was good. However, Gaia was still furious for some reason although she did not tell her the reason.
Gaia seemed interested in watching him. In learning from him and knowing what his plans were. Hariric felt that he was being put to the test but he didn't care anyway. It wasn't as bad as some would say. He was already used to being tested by magic.
Harris sighed and understood the story of the Stark family and was... surprised. Apparently the Starks were an interesting group. Very touched by the magic and affected. The first Stark was Brandon the Builder, a man who built Winterfell and also the wall as well as many other fortresses. After eight thousand years Winterfell remained standing without the need for repairs. That only talked about magic so he had looked carefully at the group.
However, as much as they had good lords like Brandon the Navigator, they also had their problems with others like Brandon the Incendiary who destroyed his fleet only because he lost his father. Frankly, Hariric realized that he was born into a family touched by both geniuses and idiots.
With that thought he extended and used his open connection to obviously understand the North. His land. His home. And he fell in love. Harris loved magic. I loved nature. There was a fucking reason why I hated muggles and that is that they destroyed and destroyed without thinking about their actions. But the North. The North was such a beautiful kingdom. His only weak point was the times that were strong of almost constant winter and when it was winter of glacial age.
It was something I could change. It was difficult. Climate magic was never easy to do and more than anything what it was that affected such a large area. He would need studies and work but he didn't see it as an impossible anyway in his mind.
Anyway, despite having to work in the climate of the North Harirc easily realized that the North had potential. The North was as much or perhaps a little bigger than Germany and was half of the entire continent. So far, perfect.
One of the most important things about any good country is that it needs to be spacious. Now to the resources. Thanks to his connection with gaia he had discovered several things of the North that if they were learned in the south then there was a very great possibility that there would be war. It's not that he cared. A storm here, a volcano there and point goodbye very good enemy military force. Don't say that it's not capable of solving problems when they knock hard on the door.
