Lauren stilled at his words, her body turning into work mode she used at the club. She knew that some types of men love to deny and want the women to beg before they concede, it was a chase of cat and mouse that turned them on and right now that was what she was going to do as much as this was going to be embarrassing.
She coyly smiled twirling a strand of her wet blonde hair around her finger "but you picked me up from the side. What do you want MR?"
Lauren bit her lips trying to look sexy but that must be weird she knew that with how he scrunched his face not in a disgusting way but in an exhausting way. She saw the way his forehead folded and his jaw ticked before he exhaled then sparing her the slightest not pity but something she couldn't place her finger on glance.
He said nothing, only putting the car into start and moving. She dropped the finger on her hair as self-consciousness and awkwardness of what just happened prickled her skin with goosebumps. She knew this was over as she faced the window looking outside to check out the weather and how fair and okay it would be to get a cab and head home if she was dropped off by the side of the road.
Men did this a lot. They drop you off if you are not to their standard or worth their time for sex. She was always dropped off. She sighed as the silence continued and no action of him trying to drop her off happened soon.
"You can drop me off now since nothing is going to happen between us" maybe she should just head straight to the hospital instead of home but that was too far. "Please before it gets too dark" she mumbled coherently enough for him to hear. Not like she never returned more later than this but nothing was going to happen so she better use the time for something important instead of listening to the heartbeats of each other.
Everywhere was dark and her mind wasn't too focused so she didn't look around the environment and saw they weren't in a normal surrounding until he pulled the car to a stop in front of a gate then opened his window which got breeze and rain drops to fall in and tapped a pad by the side of the wall and the gates opened for them all the while he never spared her a glance and word just doing his thing.
"Where are we? Are we really having sex? Did you pick me up to kill me and drop my dead body on the road chopped in a ziplock bag?" what have I gotten myself into? Lauren murmured as fear gripped her.
Now this didn't look like they were trying to hookup for the night in some shitty hotel or alleyway. This looked like the beginning of every thriller movie like the you movies.
Wasn't this how the guy lured them in, not talking but leading them to the trap?
Lauren didn't like his silence and how he drove inside the compound and round a fountain. Who leaves that on? Don't they see the rain?
"Get out" he finally said, opening his own side of the door but she sat clammed up staring at him. The rain was still drizzling as he closed his door darting round the car from the front to her side and opening it "Get out. I don't have time"
Lauren picked her things up from the floor of the car and stepped out into the rain, she heard the jamming sound of the door before the feeling of his hand on her arm dragging her gently to the house, lights everywhere she couldn't look up.
She tried pulling her hand away from his hold but it didn't even budge "you know you would have just dropped me off by the side. Are all these necessary?" she muttered, clucking her tongue. "And you are not killing or raping me. I won't go without a fight just so you know"
They climbed the small stairs up the front and he opened the double doors before taking his hand off her. She opened her mouth to say something but a woman came rushing in her steps since she was too old to run "where is she?" The stranger asked the woman.
The woman rubbed her hands together before pointing back into the house and leaving for the direction without saying anything. The man followed her like a silent conversation was going on before her and she wasn't included. Lauren's eyes went to both of them as they left, not sparing her a brief look.
Were they planning on killing her?
She looked around the house and saw they were in the living room or something like that. You never predict the house of the rich and their rooms, the sofa bounced as she sat down and picked at her nails, almost biting it but thought against it, her eyes roving around the room.
It wasn't that bad, she mused. Everywhere lights shined she winced, squinting her eyes as she looked up at the chandelier up in the high ceilings. She didn't know the name they called these houses but it was gorgeous with the high ceilings and elegant furniture, her eyes zoned in on the spiralling staircase or whatever they called it.
The large arched windows she had briefly seen when they had entered the first time before the lights brightened her eyes. She shook her head at the expanse of obvious luxury from the house. The stranger or maybe killer has quite the cash, she sighed thinking how to flee without him noticing.
