Could you imagine?
Just a few hours ago, I was a young man, so happy that I would be meeting my soon-to-be fiancé. But as things turned out, it seemed she had already dropped me for a 19-year-old boy.
I'm mistaken. She didn't drop me, I did.
And just as I thought I would finally enjoy a little hope in life, by hitting two jackpots all at the same time, Pain-kun decided to visit me.
So, I thought I had died from it.
But, where is the female mechanical voice coming from?
«↓ System Activated ↑»
«↓ You have awakened the Harem Sharing System ↑»
«↓ You Have Died ↑»
If I were dead, why could I still hear some voices? Or is this an afterlife?
To clear my doubt, I looked around me to see if there were other fellow victims of death as well — I knew not only one, or two, or three persons died at a particular time on a particular day.
As it turned out, I was just floating in an eternal void, with nothing to grasp onto. Of course, except the soft voice that returned—
«↓ Your last moment wish has been granted ↑»
«↓ You will be reincarnated into a New World ↑»
"Last moment wish, granted? Reincarnated? What?"
The voice seemed not to care about my worries.
«↓ Analyzing Host's Memories... ↑»
«↓ Searching for a suitable World ↑»
«↓ Scanning... | Wow, Host was an Author ↑»
«↓ Ransacking Host's Novel Memories... ↑»
"Wait, wait, what?! Not my novels, please. Not any of them!"
Then, the last voice followed, this time accompanied by a blue, translucent screen.
The last notification:
«↓ Ding! The World of Montana has been selected ↑»
Even in my death, I felt my heart freeze.
"Dear God."
«↓ Host, get ready. You are being reincarnated ↑»
Just like a fat balloon, which was let loose so that all gathered air should expend, my body... no, my soul, whatever was left of my momentarily existence flew haphazardly in the void until it hit a transparent barrier and shattered.
"Well, I hope I regain all that I've lost."
...
Now, you would wonder, which of my novels has the world of Montana in it?
And why was I being reluctant about reincarnating into one?
For the last question, I did say I never expected one of my unsuccessful novels to be a way of granting my wish.
But we shall see.
And for the first question, the world of Montana is contained in one of my novels, which I had written at the age of ten. In this novel, I crafted the plot in a way that my MC remained broken, solely due to the reason that his father had locked his Mana Core after his birth.
At his birth, a second cataclysm occurred.
Demons flared the peaceful world once again, and this misfortune was tied to me, the MC.
Yes, I reincarnated into the MC's body.
It is now that I can see how foolish that beginning plot was; blocking the MC's Mana Core with the reason that since his power was tied to unleashing this cataclysm on the world, he would one day be a calamity. A doom.
I made his father give this reason as justification before the council.
And now that I have become the MC—
Wait, I actually embedded a system into his lifeline that would help him break that fate: the Harem Sharing System. The fate of being a Weakling.
This only meant that I had just reincarnated into the dead body of Mobix Seafrost.
The day he unlocked his Mana Core, someone had served him a poison and prayed for him to be fated with survival, yet he died.
No, no.
I have a crumbling memory of how it all happened. I was still ten when I wrote this novel, and left it incomplete.
But at least one thing was sure now.
'Mobix Seafrost has unlocked his Mana Core, and since he was still weak, the Harem Sharing System would help him to break through.'
"Okay, okay. Into the world of Montana, we come."
...
My last subconscious words were meant to be verbalized, but they actually came as brittle coughs.
Cough, cough
Immediately, a girl sitting by my bedside shifted and turned towards me.
"Little Lord!" she exclaimed with widened eyes, and grabbed my shoulders in such a way that it discomforted me.
"You made it... alive," the girl added.
She had deep blue eyes and long, sharp, silver hair that flowed down from her shoulders to her waist.
When she turned out of excitement, enough to make the back of the blue kimono she adorned visible, I saw the symbol of a sapphire wave curling into a spiral on her back.
"She must be a Seafrost then."
It's quite unfortunate for me to have forgotten most of the characters that existed in my novel, but I knew that the system I had awakened allowed me to bond with strong ladies and earn their power.
Talking about power, I had yet to check the status of Mobix Seafrost, but that won't be the case now.
I needed to—
"Little Lord, why are you staring at me like that? Have you...?" The girl was in between words when I cut her short.
"Aren't you beautiful?"
Instead of blushing, her jaw dropped.
I seemed not to care anyway.
"No, you were not looking at me with those eyes; you looked as if you were trying to figure out something," she remained adamant.
Well, I guess she should be. My mind has been consumed enough to be filled with thoughts, and it showed on my facial expression.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the memories of Mobix Seafrost.
I will only be working with the few fragments of Sunday Moahn 's memory.
'If only I could recover the memories of Sunday's ten-year-old version, or at least that of Mobix Seafrost, getting my Harem members would be easier, right?'
Seeing that the girl by my bedside still watched me, I asked her to help me sit up on the bed, and then I asked her the next question that came to mind.
"Why is this beauty on the same bed with me?"
Upon hearing the question, she released her hands from my hold.
"Don't you think something can result from this closeness?"
The girl rubbed her palms together and nodded, as if in understanding.
"So, you don't remember Linda Seafrost, your shadow again?" Her voice was laced with concern.
"I understand. It's been two months since you were comatose, and the doctor already mentioned the possibility of losing your memories if you happen to survive."
"Two months?"
Linda only stood from the bed, collected the ceramic cup of drinking water from the table beside the bed, and handed it to me. Then, she left immediately.
'Two months?'
That explains the reason I also seem to have lost part of Sunday's memories. Living in the body of a dead young man for two months—
Tch.
"System Status."

I see.
Mobix Seafrost was 17 years old and had yet to awaken any power. This explains the reason why my Rank has [Lv. 0] inclined to it.
However, my Vitality and Intelligence are my highest stats.
Could it be that reincarnating into this body has granted me more constitution and health points to make up for my Vitality stats?
But, Intelligence?
That was caused by my curiosity and eagerness to learn magic. I was the type who scrambled through any material or magic book I could get my hands on to discover if there was another way to do magic with a locked Mana Core.
All my searches had been to no avail.
Not until I played the dangerous game of forcing Linda to feed me poison that would force my sister to unleash some magic on me.
Are my memories returning?
Speaking of my sister...
The door that concealed my room slid open, revealing two beautiful maidens in their various kimono.
In the front was Linda, carrying a tray of dishes.
Behind her was... I guess she should be my sister.
She was wearing silver leggings and a silver crop top. And over this attire, she wore a bluebell-made kimono, with a leather belt bearing the circular metallic form of the Seafrost symbol, curled around her waist.
She has icy eyes and blonde, deep blue hair, which adds to her extreme beauty.
Once she approached my bedside, with Linda flanking her side, she said.
"Alright, big brother. It's good you survived. Have your meal, let's begin training immediately."
My jaw dropped.
Linda giggled.
I was merely recovering, and she's talking about training?
"At least, let me know your name..." Those were the only words I found myself speaking.
Both Linda and my sister exchanged knowing glances.
"She's your younger sister, Little Lord Muna Seafrost."
