Chapter 2 - A warrior's path

Akane led Kaito through the dense forest, the trees growing taller and the path narrower as they journeyed deeper into the woods. Kaito struggled to keep up, his eyes fixed on the sword still clutched in his hand. The blue glow had faded, but he could feel its weight and power.

As they walked, Akane told Kaito about the world of Tenrai. She spoke of the five great clans, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. The Akakawa clan, she explained, was known for their mastery of the sword and their unwavering loyalty.

Kaito listened intently, trying to absorb as much information as possible. He felt like a stranger in a strange land, but Akane's presence put him at ease.

After what felt like hours of walking, they arrived at the Akakawa clan's stronghold. The fortress was imposing, with high walls and watchtowers that seemed to stretch up to the sky. Akane led Kaito inside, where they were greeted by the clan's leader, a stern-looking woman named Lady Yumi.

"Akane, who is this stranger?" Lady Yumi asked, her eyes narrowing as she gazed at Kaito.

"This is Kaito," Akane replied. "He possesses the mark of the Ryūjin. I believe he may be the one we've been searching for."

Lady Yumi's expression changed from skepticism to interest. "Bring him to the training grounds," she said. "Let us see if he is worthy."

Kaito's heart skipped a beat as he followed Akane to the training grounds. What lay ahead, he had no idea, but he was ready to face whatever challenges came his way.

The training grounds were a large, open space filled with warriors engaged in fierce battles. Kaito watched in awe as they clashed swords, their movements swift and deadly. Akane approached him, a serious look on her face.

"It's time to test your skills," she said. "Are you ready, Kaito?"

Kaito nodded, his grip on the sword tightening. He had no idea what he was getting himself into, but he was determined to prove himself.
