Chapter 1 - Beyond the gate

Iseki Kaito walked through the ancient temple's weathered gates, the scent of incense and old wood filling his lungs. As a high school student, Kaito wasn't exactly the type to frequent temples, but his fascination with history and mythology drew him to this hidden gem. The temple's tranquil atmosphere was a welcome respite from the bustling streets of Tokyo.

As he explored the temple grounds, Kaito stumbled upon a mysterious sword buried beneath a pile of dusty artifacts. The sword's blade gleamed with an otherworldly light, and Kaito felt an inexplicable connection to it. Without thinking, he grasped the hilt, and everything around him began to blur.

When Kaito's vision cleared, he found himself standing in the midst of a lush forest. The air was thick with the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves. Confused and disoriented, Kaito stumbled forward, trying to wrap his head around what had just happened.

A figure emerged from the trees – a young woman with piercing green eyes and long, flowing black hair. She wore intricately designed armor and carried a katana at her side.

"Who are you?" Kaito asked, still trying to process his surroundings.

"I am Akane, a warrior of the Akakawa clan," she replied, her voice firm yet cautious. "And you, stranger, are a mystery. You possess the mark of the Ryūjin."

Kaito's eyes widened as Akane pointed to the sword still clutched in his hand. The sword's blade pulsed with a soft blue light, and he felt an energy coursing through him he couldn't explain.

"What is this place?" Kaito asked, his mind racing with questions.

"Welcome to Tenrai," Akane said, her expression serious. "A world of ancient magic, where clans vie for power and the balance of fate hangs in the balance."

Kaito's journey in Tenrai had just begun, and he was about to discover that his arrival was not mere coincidence...
