"This Wesley... he just looks like an ordinary guy, doesn't he?"
Jill, sitting in the passenger seat of a brand new Bentley, glanced at the desolate figure on the roadside.
The Continental Hotel's internal intelligence network was quite something. Except for Ethan Hunt, who seemed to have changed his name and was currently off the grid, the other six were all found.
John Wick had just retired and was now in seclusion in South Carolina. Apparently, his wife was dying, so he was preparing for her funeral.
Frank Martin was currently in Paris, working a part-time job at a car repair shop while also doing courier work.
Bryan Mills was in the middle of a divorce with his wife, and he happened to be living in the same place where John Rambo had his stall – Los Angeles, the largest city on the US West Coast!
Since these guys weren't in New York right now, Li Qingyuan decided to tackle the current mission first before considering the rest.
First, do the sixth mission and get Jill's strength up.
Besides, if I remember correctly, Bryan Mills' daughter will be going to Paris soon, where she'll be kidnapped. I can intercept that, and by the way, grab Frank Martin's package.
As for that John Wick guy, I'll have to go quickly after Jill learns bullet time. If someone else kills his dog, my mission will be over!
But his own little side quest is quite fun. Kavanaugh Trump is considered a socialite in this world, and the media has a lot of information about her. Apparently, she's dating her fiancé in New Jersey and seems to be preparing for marriage.
But that's not urgent. I'll consider that after I finish the other missions!
"He just hasn't gotten his cheat code yet!" Looking at the young Professor X limping into his dilapidated apartment, Ethan couldn't help but laugh.
The Fraternity of Stone Masons is an assassin organization that's been around for a thousand years. Unlike the Continental Hotel's hitmen who work for money, the Fraternity of Stone Masons claims to be a group with faith. They only kill people on the Loom of Fate's list!
But honestly, Ethan thinks the so-called Fraternity of Stone Masons are just a bunch of cultists. Not to mention the Loom of Fate in their hands is definitely a fake. Even if it were real, no one would want their life and death controlled by a machine without emotions.
"What's the difference between this crap and the Zola Algorithm that Hydra has been working on?"
If it weren't for the Fraternity of Stone Masons, a bunch of highly skilled lunatics, they would have been wiped out eight hundred years ago.
So, the essence of the Fraternity of Stone Masons' existence isn't that useless Loom of Fate, but rather their formidable strength!
"What a wimp, this guy is!" Jill said, immediately disdainfully, watching Wesley hesitate for a long time at the door of the rental house before finally sighing and leaving silently.
With her hearing, she could naturally hear what was going on inside. And according to the information she checked in the afternoon, she also knew that the male and female protagonists inside, who were engaging in a double act, were Wesley's best friend and his girlfriend.
Even though he knew those two were together, his inherent cowardice made him not dare to expose the true faces of that couple.
After all, if he swallowed his anger and pretended not to know, he still had a nominal girlfriend and friends to drink with. But if he pushed the door open and went in, he'd have nothing left!
Wesley's bank card only had two digits of balance. If he lost his nominal girlfriend and friend, he really wouldn't know what else he'd have left.
Honestly, even Jill felt sorry for him, seeing his way of life.
"Don't worry, his cheat code has arrived!" Ethan pointed to a long-legged, blonde-haired girl.
Angelina Jolie... scratch that!
No, Fox was stealthily approaching Wesley, preparing to take him to the Fraternity of Stone Masons.
Half a month ago, Wesley's biological father, Cross, discovered a traitor within the Fraternity. Sloan, the Fraternity's president, and his old partner, Professor X, had betrayed the Loom of Fate years ago. They had abandoned their faith and become slaves to desire.
Honestly, Ethan thought that what Sloan and Professor X did was just a normal human reaction!
They risked their lives for this damn Fraternity for decades, and in the end, their names appeared on the damn Loom? That's ridiculous!
I believe in you, and you want me to kill myself? Who could accept that?
Unfortunately, these two normal people were extremely rare in the Fraternity. Most of the members were a bunch of brainwashed idiots, like Cross, and like this Fox, who was wearing a white evening gown that outlined her sexy figure.
It was obvious that reasoning with the cultists was impossible. After learning of Sloan and Professor X's betrayal of the organization, Cross decided to expose their hypocrisy and, incidentally, cleanse the Fraternity of Stone Masons as per the Loom of Fate's orders.
At first, Sloan hadn't taken Cross's betrayal too seriously. Although Cross was formidable, Professor X was the Fraternity's number one expert. If Cross dared to go up against Professor X, he'd be utterly defeated.
Unfortunately, Cross had set a trap yesterday, sending four cannon fodder to their deaths before using a single shot to take out Professor X from five hundred miles away.
This was no exaggeration. Cross used a high-powered telescope and a Three-Stage Jet Bullet to shoot Professor X from Brooklyn, hitting him on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Building in Manhattan.
The distance between them was at least fifteen kilometers. The power of Gun-fu was truly remarkable!
After Professor X was killed, Sloan felt a deep-seated fear in his soul. With Professor X dead, Cross had become the deadliest assassin. Even though there were still many experts within the Fraternity of Stone Masons, they all fell short compared to Cross.
So, for the sake of his own life, Cross had to die.
But sending his subordinates to deal with Cross was simply suicide. After some thought, Sloan finally came up with a plan.
Cross had a son once, although he later left him, worried that his assassin life would negatively impact his son's upbringing. However, Cross had been quietly keeping tabs on his son all these years.
Sloan decided to send people to lure Cross's son, Wesley, into the Fraternity of Stone Masons.
No matter how strong Cross was, he wouldn't dare to kill his own son. With the advantage of planning and surprise, Wesley was definitely the best candidate to kill Cross.
