Grace's POV
"Oh, really?" I raised my eyebrow, letting my voice drip with mockery through the phone. "Did he actually say that?"
Amara's irritation was obvious.
Naturally, every word was fabricated!
Several days had passed since I'd departed, yet I could tell Amara remained untouched by Carlos. I knew Amara craved his attention, but Carlos stayed buried in work, barely finding moments to speak with Amara.
Still, that wouldn't prevent her from spinning tales.
Eventually, her fantasies might become reality anyway.
"Absolutely! What reason would I have to make this up? Can't you see how stunning I am? Obviously a man like Mr. Benjamin would desire me!" Amara declared. "I'm absolutely beautiful, sis, not like you!"
"Mmhmm, I understand..." I was smiling throughout the entire exchange.
Obviously, I knew Amara was fabricating everything because Carlos was connected to me via video call on my iPad, frantically attempting to refute whatever nonsense Amara was spinning.
