Andrew's POV
Andrew needed to locate Carlos immediately—he doubted his ability to endure much longer in that office, particularly with Amara's persistent advances and Vita's venomous glares that made him feel like an unwanted pest she was eager to eliminate.
The workplace atmosphere had become unbearable, and honestly, he'd prefer facing actual combat over dealing with those two women. At least on the battlefield, he could be authentic.
He had no clue what sort of argument had erupted between Carlos and Grace, though it clearly wasn't their initial confrontation.
Since his sole purpose was meeting Carlos for assistance, Andrew snatched his jacket and phone from the desk before departing the office. Stepping into the lobby, he discovered Carlos had taken the Bentley Andrew had driven to work.
He made an irritated sound and dialed Carlos's number to determine his boss's location, but Carlos declined the call unexpectedly.
He tried again—Carlos rejected it once more.
