Chapter 2 - On my way to Elenas All girl's Academy

Alpha Kieran.

The sun cast a soft glow by my window. The birds chirped on top of it. My reflection flashed back at me. The morning was here and this was the time to finally begin my journey.

I spread out my hands, yawning out in the air as I quickly got up from my bed. My eyes darted to the clock. It was 12 in the afternoon already. I sighed, a soft knock on my door.

"Who's that?" I paused, my eyes scanning closely.

"Is Micheal." The voice replied. And I exhaled.

"You didn't tell me you were coming?" I say, approaching the door.

"I got caught up with something." I paused, looking at him closely. His face twisted like he'd seen a ghost.

Micheal was a close friend to me. I would say he is someone I confide in. He was an orphan in my father's pack and despite the fact he was one of my father's workers we still built meaningful connections together. I remember when he will always sneak me out of the house in his old black rickettsia car to go play in the neighbouring pack. And when my dad is about to return he will quickly drive me home safely.

There was also the time where he would watch my back and protect me even if my dad never showed his workers love. I would see him scold and punish them for every single thing. And when I try to ask him why he shuts me up and advises me to stay wicked, that this was the only way I can remain feared and grow in strength and stature. Even if I would say a part of that advice got to me, I still couldn't see myself maltreating Micheal.

Micheal was twenty five. He was dark with a pointed nose, chiseled jawline and toussed hair like me. We were both of the same height but he was more fleshy than I. Now seeing him even when my dad is in a critical condition only summed up everything I had for him in my mind.

I looked at him but he touched me on my shoulders. "Come on, don't give me that look. I should be asking you what the problem was?"

He let out and I melted in split seconds. Honestly, how he always knows when I try to act tough remains a misery to me. I would have to tell him about last night's encounter with the luna goddess.

He pressed my shoulders softly.

"Look at you, lost in thought. What did Luna say?" He asked me and I flinched in shock.

"How did he know about it? Was he following me?" He stared at me, my eyes blinked as we both lowered ourselves to the ground.

"Tell me, what happened out there last night?." I paused, pressing my lips firmly. The ticking of the clock moved closewise. The feets were cold and my throat was unable to speak.

"Would trusting him get me to the All girls academy? What if he betrays me? What if he remembers all the terrible things my father did and decides to join the forces with my foes?" I remained mute but the distinct call of birds called out from afar, right there at the closet where my father was laid.

"I'm ready to help you." His words finally made me choke, bouncing me back to reality.

"You mean it?" My eyes open.

"I do." His words are soft just like the shadows at night.

"We need your car and-" I swallowed, the lump in my throat painful as hell.

"And what?"

"Some matching outfits. I mean..shoes, clothes, and everything feminine you can think of." I finally let out but his lips twitched to the side. And by the time I was done narrating the previous night incident we were already in the car ready to move.

I was dressed in pinafores, with bracelets and rings on both of our ears. We let our hairs fall freely cascading down our back, with beautifully decorated flowers scattered at different edges. Our eyelids were dark and our lips briefly wet with gloss. We applied oil on our faces and shaved off every beard on our cheeks and jaw areas. Inside our backpack were foods and clothes with a few books we plan to use throughout our stay.

Micheal was coming with me to always keep me company and focused on the assignment. I couldn't say no I mean who wouldn't want a guy to talk with, in an All girls Academy.

I stayed in the back seat and micheal stayed in front. He was the one driving. Due to how bad our car was Micheal had to replace it with that of my dad. My dad's car was sleek and gave off the aura of rich vibes and with that I guess the job was going to be a bit less tough for me.

"So where are we headed?" I hear Micheal ask from the front.

"Well, to the famous Elena's girl's academy." I responded, tugging on my inner pants and placing my balls back in place. "This is really going to be a tough one." I muttered from within.

"Are you sure you're going to be comfortable in that black pants you're putting on?" He asked me and I flashed a smile.

"It's like I've a choice. I would have to try."

"Before I lost my parents growing up my both sisters would fight for literally everything. They were twins though-"

"Wow! interesting."

"So my mom would always separate their clothes, food, undies and even birthday gifts because you wouldn't want to cause a fight between the both of them."

"I can imagine what you went through cleaning after them and clearing all the mess they create."

"Yeah, you're right. But, I didn't see it as a big deal. I mean we were sisters and that was what was expected."

"Now it makes more sense where you got your styling skill from. Hmm.. interesting. Just look at the way you came up with our clothes, costumes and everything. I didn't even have to beat myself up or rumble again for not having a girlfriend."

"I always pay attention whenever they are playing, playing with my mom's make-up box and all that. I just had a way of involving myself in their activities. Common I was the only son what would you expect. And my parents always kept us indoors away from people and attention."

"Good to hear." I adjusted my seatbelt, staring at my reflection in the side rear mirror. My carefully polished flushed fingers tapped on the door handle.

"Was I really putting up this act for my mate?" I asked myself.

"Ridiculous!' I heard something say from the mirror, goosebumps covered my skin as I exhaled deeply, my funny looking dress staring back at me. I looked away from the mirror. My gaze fixed on Micheal who was still driving.

"Looks like this place is very far?" I asked.

"Not really, I had to use another route to get there through the back gate. We wouldn't want too much attention for a first day in school. You get it?."

"Yeah. You're right. I mean I just pray we don't get caught."

"We wouldn't get caught, unless someone finds out about our plan."

"Hmm. I hope so." I relaxed my back to my seat, my eyes staring at the movement of people. It was a tinted car and many of them couldn't see me. A few of them were actively heading to lectures with their friends. The sight of this made my head fall. Not from weakness but from something more intense. Giving my education a pause wasn't part of the plan but here is mine doing the exact opposite. Finding my fated mate and bringing her back to the pack. The very pack that now looks up to me. I believe failing them will never be an option so I decided to shake off my mood.

"Turn on the music Micheal. Girls love soft music. We need to start practicing how to act and be like them."

"Sure. You're right."

"We wouldn't want to be deserted because we look different. This will only make our game ten times harder to play. You go first. Tell me what we could do differently to stand up?"

Micheal coughed, adjusting himself to his seat. As I waited impatiently for him to speak from the back seat where I was.

"Waking up very early in the morning, taking our bath and being the first to get ready before anyone else."

"Wow! such a genius idea. I never thought of that."

"Your turn."

"Okay. As for me… practicing every dance step and learning to love their kind of songs so as to comfortably mingle with them without feeling detached."

"You got me on this one. I'm doing this too."

"Of course you are…"

"Common you're beginning to sound like them now." He said jokingly and we laughed so hard. Our car screeched as we got to the school's backgate. I looked through the window. The influx of everything with skirts assaulted my vision and for a brief moment I had to reconnect with myself that we had just arrived at Elena's girl's academy.

"Remember, we stay together."

I heard Micheal say from the front seat. And I nodded, grabbing my backpack and our both luggages.

"Call me Dianna and you, what should I call you?"

Micheal turned to look at me. "Doris will do it."

"Alright, so Dianna and Doris. That's it!"

I brought out our luggages from the car, my eyes shifting to the surroundings. The school was huge with different storey buildings situated at different corners. One could get lost here.

Micheal assisted with a few bags as we approached inside. We refused to pay any eye contact to anyone. Our faces were lit up a bit but our heads were straight, never looking sideways. Then suddenly, I stepped on something. A backpack or so and at this point Micheal was way ahead of me, still struggling with our bags. They were quite huge. I looked at the backpack on the floor, the one which I stepped on. Then heaved a sigh. The urge to catch up with Micheal burning within but as I turned to go, something tapped me from behind.

"I had been caught!" my inner voice whispered in my ears." So I paused then turned to look.
