Shu Feng watched the boy quietly, and his Teacher Mode was in full effect. At first, he could roughly understand the process of meditation and drawing in Qi, but later he was almost approaching the boy's level of understanding of meditation.
Simply incredible. Shu Feng sighed in his heart.
I have a vague feeling that enlightenment enhances my understanding by a higher dimension.
Although I might not be able to fully use the comprehension of a fourth dimensional being, it's still far beyond the means of a third dimensional being.
I need to verify this theory in the future, but the way I am processing any analyzing stuff shouldn't be plausible as I am seeing it in a way it shouldn't. I can see that boy in almost a way that takes apart his foundation, allowing me to fully understand the inner workings of everything.
But there I have a feeling that I am not seeing everything I should see, but due to some physical limitations, I'm restrained to this half baked version.
Shu Feng observed the boy as he thought. Even though he was deep in his own thoughts on how the enlightenment perk works in Teacher Mode, his mind never stopped comprehending the boy's meditation technique.
After roughly twenty minutes of meditation, the boy finally opened his eyes and let out a deep breath.
"Kid, do you have a teacher?" Shu Feng asked.
The kid was startled, and looked at Shu Feng who was still sitting on the rough oak fence swinging his legs.
The kid's eyes wandered around Shu Feng's body for a bit before replying, "No."
"No? Then what's your name?" Shu Feng asked again, but his legs stopped kicking the air.
"Cai Yang." The boy said.
"Cai Yang? A name is a name I guess. Say Cai Yang, do you want to join my Martial Arts Hall? It won't cost any money during your first month at the Martial Art Hall, but after that you'll have to pay 10 silver coins."
Ten silver coins is roughly 2,500 Yuan. In this world, 100 silver equals 1 gold coin, and one gold coin is roughly worth 20,000 Yuan.
Collecting 100 silver coins would be better financially for Shu Feng, and he plans on finding three kids to teach, giving him a monthly income of 7,500 Yuan.
That's not including the money he can earn outside of his dojo, or now Martial Art Hall.
Once he truly gets settled down here, earning tens of thousands of Yuan wouldn't be a big issue. This makes his choices of not accepting students on earth a lot more reasonable.
Not to mention that prices here are cheaper, and could use some stuff from earth to trade and earn a pretty penny if he wished.
With his financial situation planned, Shu Feng waited for the boy to respond.
"Martial Arts Hall?" Cai Yuan said in surprise after being stunned.
"Yes! It's called the Myrial Martial Hall, or just Myriad Dojo."
"Dojo?" Cai Yuan blinked his two eyes.
He hasn't heard of the word "dojo," but he does know what a "Martial Art Hall" means.
"Is there really no cost?" Cai Yuan asked. He didn't believe there was no cost.
Shu Feng saw the boy's doubts, and his eyes narrowed as he thought up a suitable plan.
He doesn't believe that something like this doesn't have a catch. Makes sense, people in this world are quite adjusted to scams and strange things, making them more wary than others. I'll just ask for thirty percent of his hunting earnings for three months.
Cultivators here gain money by hunting beasts in the outside world. These beasts don't have anything extraordinary, and only humans have the power to slaughter an entire town with the palm of their hand at the Nascent Soul Realm, making humans the apex of this world.
Though this world is quite weak for a third dimensional world; though it's perfect for my first time.
"I want thirty percent of your earnings for the next three months to pay for the cost of your missing money and the interest on top of it." Shu Feng said, rubbing the tip of his thumb with his other fingers.
Cai Yuan looked a lot more relaxed hearing Shu Feng's words, but then looked at him suspiciously.
"Can you really teach me how to fight?"
Shu Feng's lips twitched and said angrily, "So my words before didn't help you at all? Or are you just pretending to be stupid?"
Cai Yuan gave an awkward smile, and nodded his head slightly.
Martial Arts are hard to come by and aren't passed down to people casually. Qi is something that everyone can have and learn, but how to use and perfect it can be controlled, allowing those with higher status keep their status.
"Good, come to my Myriad Martial Hall tomorrow, it's down south west from here and you can easily find it with a big giant sign saying "Myriad Martial Arts Hall!"
Cai Yuan mouth opened slightly and hung in the air for a while, but chose not to say anything, instead he just nodded his head.
"Good, I hope you will show up. I'll teach you real skills on how to use weapons to fight and kill your opponents. Though, you'll have to abandon your sword and start using spears."
"Why? Do you only teach spear techniques?" Cai Yuan asked, slightly confused.
He just taught him swordsmanship today, and he was very impressed by his guidance.
"No, I do teach sword techniques." Shu Feng said and slightly shook his head, "But a spear is a lot more effective at handling beasts and humans. It gives great control, reach, and power. Fighting a beast up close is never a smart decision. Swords excel at close range combat as it's more flexible than a spear giving more opportunities to slash, stab, and parry the opponent."
"I will still teach you how to use a sword, but it will only be used as an offhand weapon, but it will only be used when you have to ditch your spear all together." Shu Feng said.
Cai Yuan's eyes narrowed, and his head bobbed back and forth as he took in Shu Feng's words.
He was learning how to fight for money, and if he could protect his life doing so, switching to a spear wouldn't hurt him.
"Ok, I'll come tomorrow." Cai Yuan said, and gave a nod to Shu Feng.
"Perfect! I hope to see you there tomorrow morning." Shu Feng said with a smile.
Cai Yuan gave a small "Hmm" and jumped over the fence that Shu Feng was sitting on and walked into the bustling streets.
As for why there was a wooden fence here with an open area in the middle of a market? It was because this land has been marked by someone and plans on building a shop here.
For loose cultivators, they'd take any place outside to train, as at home might disturb their family.
