Hi everyone, just dropping by to let you know that I'm going to change my writing style depending on the situation, varying between first and third person, depending on the situation.
************
The trip to the hospital was relatively short. The house where my father and I lived was well located, as our garage was on Warner St., so my father thought it best to buy a house nearby so we wouldn't have to spend too much time traveling back and forth.
When we arrived late at night, the hospital was almost empty, so my admission process was very quick. Personally, I don't have a good experience with hospitals. In my last life, I had several moments in hospitals. I had a type of anemia, so my body was always weak, forcing me to go to the hospital periodically, and in this life, the symptoms of anemia were already beginning to appear again.
While they were drawing my blood, I sat there staring at the wall. Seeing my blood flowing through a transparent tube always disturbed me. As my thoughts wandered, a floating panel appeared in my vision.

The last time I clicked on one of these floating warnings, I passed out, but now it seems to be a way to find out what exactly happened to me. Even if something happens, I'm already in the hospital, my arm was busy, and touching something in the air randomly would be extremely suspicious, so I tried to focus on the button labeled "YES," and soon another message appeared

Okay. Either I'm suffering from a terrible case of schizophrenia, or the tropes of reincarnation with a golden finger are real. Well... I always thought the idea of reviewing memories from my past life was something more connected to the spiritual... however, I think it was actually a much more cliché issue back then.
In any case, having a system in your head seems a little invasive, especially when I know it can read and interpret my thoughts. Having something watching you 100% of the time is considerably disturbing for your mental health, but on the other hand, these functions seem quite interesting and useful.
Before I could explore more about the system and its features, a panel appeared, overlapping the previous one, like a pop-up.

Memories about my world? Does this anchor host have memories and flashes of my life just as I have about my past life? I quickly accepted the integration, and before my eyes a movie played at super fast speed of the life of a black man with curly black hair, chocolate and honey-colored eyes, a little potbellied, like an older version of myself.
I don't know how long this transfer of memories actually took, but the feeling after going through it was like watching a movie you already know all the lines and scenes of in a very fast-paced 30-second GIF. The screens had disappeared, leaving only this feeling of confusion, which was soon broken when the nurse approached me and my father, began to remove the needle from my arm, and said:
"What a brave young man, you went through the whole blood draw without complaining. I heard from your father what happened. You need to take better care of yourself, young man. Always eat right and get plenty of rest, so you don't faint anywhere."
The nurse had started speaking in a kind tone, but soon straightened up to a tone like an aunt pulling her nephew's ear. To give me a break, my father smiles and says in a relaxed tone:
"Don't worry, Nurse Julie, I'll take care of this boy and keep an eye out to prevent this from happening again."
A confident smile appeared on Nurse Julie's face, and her expression softened back to kindness. My father looked at me and held out his hand for me to take, and when I did, he sighed and said:
"Liel, I'll take better care of you, I promise."
I look into his eyes and say soothingly to him, focusing on his features, a little rough, marked by the age that had begun to set in, and also a little lack of skin care that is common for all men his age.
"I believe you, Dad. I know you're doing the best you can."
