Rhett's POV
Amethyst is missing. She told her family she was helping with graduation clean up since she had volunteered to help with everything related to graduation. When she didn't come home after an hour I reached out to the guards I had placed on her to make sure she was safe, when they didn't answer I became worried and went to the school to find them myself. The guard detail we had for her were found knocked out by wolfsbane darts so whoever has her are professionals. I am assuming it has something to do with that text she received but I can't be certain. Since her dad is a warrior we are currently meeting with their pack Alpha and my pack Alpha to start a search party and work out plans to find her. This shits a mess.
We meet the Alpha's in a neutral meeting place that has a large conference room. Amethyst's kidnapping is honestly worse than I thought. When I get into the conference room, not only is my Alpha, my parents and Amethyst's parents and Alpha there, but so are the Elders, a rogue and Catherine's parents.
"Please tell us what you know." One of the Elders addresses the three unexpected wolves of this meeting.
"Our Cat is also missing." Catherine's mom starts to cry. "We thought she was safe, we thought he decided he didn't want her anymore. She said she made a …" she quickly shuts up not finishing her sentence.
"She said she what?" My Alpha asks putting a little of his command into his question.
Catherine's father gulps and looks down before he answers "Our little girl told us she made a deal, a deal to trade her spot for someone else. She didn't tell us who she offered to trade spots with but that the deal was done."
"Who is 'he' and what spot did your daughter trade?" My Alpha growls out.
"The Rogue King, he wanted our daughter as a new bride, it's why we came here and made a deal for Catherine and Rhett to be mated. Their family was to provide protection but because our daughter broke the contract she lost her protection. She then made a deal without our knowledge. She didn't tell us until after she had confirmation that the deal was accepted." Her father rambled.
"And you didn't think to inform the council of this threat, to let us know that not only did your daughter have a target on her back but she put another she-wolf in danger!" One of the Elders roared.
"W-we w-weren't t-thinking." Catherine's mother stuttered out.
"Damn right you weren't thinking!" The Elder screamed! "Was Amethyst the she-wolf she traded for herself or is there another she-wolf we need to send protection to?"
"W-we d-don't k-know." Catherine's mother responded. Just as the rogue started to speak out.
"Alphas, Elders, that's why I am here. I was the one Catherine contacted to make the deal with the Rogue King." The rogue said, causing all the wolves in the room to growl. He pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to the elders. "This is a copy of the original letter Cat had me bring to the Rogue King with the offer of who she wanted to trade places with. There was also a picture with it. I tried copying that too but it didn't print as well." Then he took out another letter and handed it to the elders, "And this is the Rogue Kings response. I hope these help with your investigation to find the girls." He bowed his head and sat back down.
The Alphas and the Elders looked over the letters and confirmed that Amethyst was who Cat traded spots for. It made all of us angry but also glad that there wasn't another she-wolf who might go missing at this time. Then the elders turned to the rogue to ask him some questions the main one being where the Rogue King was located.
"I can show you, however I am not sure if it will help. The Rogue King is constantly moving, it's why he hasn't been found before. When I was living within his ranks we moved every couple weeks. He has made packs all over the country and only a select few know where his main castle is. Unfortunately he never let me find out, I think he suspected that I was helping Catherine and het family but didn't have proof until this incident. It's why I never went back, I was afraid he was going to kill me."
"Alright, tell us what you know and we may spare you for not coming forward sooner." A different Elder spoke out.
After hours of mapping out locations, learning the most recent location the Rogue King was at and potential places he may go we came up with a plan. The Alphas also reached out to other packs around the country to see if they had any information from their own investigations into their missing she-wolves.hopefully we can find Amethyst soon. I can care less about finding Catherine but I know her parents want her back as well.
