The past few weeks have flown by. I haven't heard anything else from that unknown number and if it wasn't for the fact they sent a picture of me I would've thought it was a wrong number. Rhett has had his family connections look into it but nothing has shown up. They've also put a guard detail on me, basically hiding in plain sight so my sisters don't freak out. It makes me feel a lot better about walking around town when I need to. It's no wonder why it was such a big deal for Catherine when Rhett broke off their arrangement. His connections definitely help you feel safe when you're against the unknown.
Rhett had told me why they were together, that the Rogue King was after her so his family was protecting her but honestly I doubt that now. They've been apart for months now too and she seems to be enjoying herself, going around town like nothing is going to happen to her and if the Rogue King was really after her I doubt he would just give up. His reputation is ruthless and from what I've heard he never gives up what he wants, so either she was lying about the Rogue King being after her or she's just being careless now because I doubt she has the same type of protections.
Anyway it's not my problem. I just need to focus on graduating and enjoying my summer before I leave for college. I'm still deciding between two schools, I have sometime before I need to register but I need to decide soon. Honestly it's coming down to my relationship with Rhett. I plan on talking to him after graduation today. We both agreed it was going to be short term but I've been feeling we have been connecting on a much deeper level and if he's on the same page I want to see where this goes. If he's is, I will stay at the local school I was accepted to, if not I'm going across the country to get a fresh start. I know my family would rather I stay local but they're supportive no matter what I decide. It's not like I won't visit and I think they realize I may need a fresh start after the year I've had plus I think my mom is hoping I will find my fated mate if I leave the area, not that I care if I do or don't.
It's finally time to start getting ready for graduation and I am so excited. All us girls went shopping a few days ago to buy dresses to wear under our graduation gowns. I have a black knee length dress with spaghetti straps. I've paired it with black wedge sandals. We all bought something that coordinates well with our school colors. We all meet at Sara's house since she lives closest to the school and we take a few pictures as we finish getting ready. Once we are done we walk to the school and meet in the cafeteria where all the seniors are gathered to walk out to the field where the families and friends are waiting.
The graduation ceremony goes off without a hitch and before we toss our hats we present the Smith's with their surprise. We got them their own graduation gowns and a plaque the mimics our diplomas. They cried with joy and joined us with tossing our graduation hats into the air. Once we did everyone came down from the stands to celebrate with their seniors. We were told we had to go back to the cafeteria to get our actual diplomas since the one they used during the ceremony was fake. Essentially we trade the fake ones in for our real ones.
All the seniors go back into the cafeteria to exchange their fake diplomas for the real ones then slowly go back to their families. I mind link my parents telling them I am helping with clean up and will meet them at home. As I am helping clean up the Smith's tell me they have everything under control and that I can leave to go celebrate with my family. I hug them and thank them for being wonderful teachers and head to the bathroom before I leave to go home. As I come out of the bathroom I feel a pinch in my arm and everything goes black.
Rogue Strategist's POV
"My King, everything went according to plan, we have both girls. We are now on our way back to the kingdom, it will be hours before their families realize they are gone." I tell the king over the phone.
"Excellent work. I look forward to meeting my new bride and our new breeder." The Rogue King answers. "Keep me updated on your travels, let me know if you come across any trouble."
"Will do my King but there's a reason I'm the best you have. We won't have any problems we can't handle." I respectfully say.
"Good. Get back soon."
"Yes my King."
After we hang up my men and I transfer the girls into our hidden plane, we take multiple forms of transportation when we take the girls we are assigned to kidnap. It makes it much harder for us to be tracked. No one knows where our kingdom is actually located so that once we disappear no one can rescue the woman we take. Our king has done an excellent job in protecting our kingdom and keeping us hidden, he has set up many false trails and locations to keep those who seek out the stolen from never finding them. It's why no one has challenged him, he's an absolute genius when it comes to covering up our secrets, plus the men in the kingdom get plenty of bed mates thanks to the king's cunning plans and perfect choices for the women he decides to take. It's why he has so many loyal followers. The King takes care of his own. Being rogue is not easy but ever since the Rogue King took control things have been much better for us. It's also why I have no problem doing his bidding, before the Rogue King took the title from the last one, we rogues struggled not only to have women but all luxuries of the world. We barely had food, we had no shelter and had to live in our wolf forms all the time, it's why many rogues went feral. We also had to be careful not to cross territories for most packs kill rogues on site without question. It wasn't safe but now, now it is. We just have to follow our king's rules and we never have to worry again.
