I was kind of disappointed when he walked out on me during breakfast. I spent the day helping Maya clean Mia's room. She was totally against it but I just ignored her. I had to do something to take off my mind from that egotistic husband of my. After that Kiara, kept me company in the garden and before I knew it they were finally home. I was in the dinning hall when Mia entered, she was now wearing a beautiful blue gown that matched her eyes. Her hair was brown in colour and it complemented her skin perfectly. "Have your wounds been treated" I asked as she sat at the dining table beside me. "Yes,thank you" she replied with a smile, "so you're Ivan's wife",she said with a smile, "I come by a lot,as you know my idiot brothers have hated each other since forever but Ivan is the only one who was ever there for me,in his own sick twisted ways" she said and I smiled. She seems to love her brother a lot. We got talking and I must say Mia is the opposite of her brother, she was free and cheerful and she always had something to talk about. Ivan came in a few minutes later and we began having dinner. He sat there across from her in a simple shirt and trousers, the kind of cloth that said nothing and yet on him spoke volumes.
The fabric pulled just slightly across his shoulders when he lifted his fork, hitting at strength beneath the quiet neatness of his appearance, there was nothing hurried in the way he ate, every bite was deliberate, unbothered by the world around them. I found myself watching small details-the way his fingers curved around the cutlery, steady and precise, the way his jaw tightened and released as he chewed. Even the act of eating seemed to carry a calm authority,as if not to impress anyone and that quiet confidence drew me in and I knew how extremely dangerous that would be for me in the long run but I just couldn't help it. After dinner I saw Mia off to her room and spent a long time walking the halls before I finally decided to walk into the room. He wasn't here yet. I walked into my chamber where Kiara was already preparing a bath for me. I had my bath and changed into a red night gown. I let my hair fall hoping the natural breeze of fall would work it's magic. Kiara brought me tea saying it would help me relax better. After drinking it she left the room and I walked into the main room. I decided to go into the garden and I stood there watching the stars twinkle so beautifully in the sky. It reminded me so much of home. I made down a mental note to call my brothers tomorrow, I knew they'd be worried.
After a while I heard footsteps walking into the garden from the room. I knew it was him without having to turn my head. The smell of his cologne had spread so quickly round the garden and I couldn't help but pity the poor flowers, would they survive after this. He kept walking closer and I just stood there without moving an inch. He was finally by my side and I tried so hard to control my breathing,"Mia said to thank you for welcoming her" she said looking straight ahead and I nodded. "Are you ok" I asked,I had seen what the news did to him this morning and I just wanted to make sure he was fine,it was his turn to nod now, then finally he faced me, "I'm sorry for my behaviour earlier today" he said, and that caught me of guard, "it's fine" I managed to say and hated myself for being intimidated by his presence. I could feel his eyes on me before I looked up. He wasn't just glancing,he was scanning me,slow and deliberate,as if my nightgown was nothing but a thin veil between us . I felt his eyes trace the line of my shoulders, then lower, lingering where the fabric clung too closely, sliding down my body until my skin burned beneath it. His gaze was heavy almost like a touch that and every pause sent shiver racing through me. I tried to stay still, tried to look unaffected by his gaze but my breath betrayed me. When his eyes finally met mine,I swear I almost saw fire. A burning desire and I wasn't sure how much longer my feet were going to keep me standing. I looked away towards the sky and tried to catch my breath," I think Mia should stay here for a while, that way you can watch over her" I said trying to form a conversation. He didn't reply and I knew his eyes were still on my body. I was about walking inside when he was suddenly in front of me,before I could process what just happened his lips met mine, his mouth claimed mine with the same hunger and fire that I had seen in his eyes earlier stealing my breath away. I grabbed his shirt as I felt my legs loosing balance. As if realising what he was doing he pulled away from me. "Don't let me do that ever again" he said and walked into the room, leaving me alone outside confused. I was so angry,I never asked him to kiss me,he did that on his own and now he is telling me to not let him do that next time. I was extremely annoyed, I walked into the room and saw him heading towards his chamber, "stay the hell away from me" I said to him before walking into my room. I laid on the bed, thinking how the hell I had ended up marrying that kind of a man. I was finally convinced that he had no heart whatsoever, I finally fell asleep while cursing him.
