I followed Olivia through the sterile, automated gates of the YGD research facility. The place was a fortress of glass and brushed steel, humming with the low thrum of high-end servers and advanced cooling systems. It was a stark contrast to my apartment, and I could not help but stare at the sheer scale of it all, feeling a bit out of my depth.

"What exactly is YGD?" I asked, my voice echoing a little in the wide, spotless corridor. "It sounds super official, but I am drawing a blank."

Olivia turned to me, a small smile playing on her lips. "YGD stands for the Yokohama Data Group," she explained, her tone casual as if she were discussing the weather. "They are at the forefront of networking research, always pushing the boundaries of what is possible with data and connectivity."

"Yokohama, huh?" I mused, taking in the gleaming floors and the distant hum of unseen machinery. "Sounds like a Japanese company. Is it a subsidiary of Stark Industries, or something like that?"

"Not quite," she replied, shaking her head. "YGD has been around for a very long time, long before Stark Industries became what it is today. They are an independent entity, with a global reach that most people are not even aware of."

"So, like a secret society of data nerds?" I joked, trying to lighten the mood. The sheer technological presence here was a little overwhelming, even for me.

Olivia chuckled softly. "Something like that, yes. They prefer to operate outside the public eye, focusing on pure research and development without the distractions of corporate politics or media scrutiny."

"That sounds… intense," I said, rubbing the back of my neck. "And they are actually going to help us build EDEN?"

"They are very interested in innovative projects," she assured me, her eyes twinkling. "Especially ones that promise to redefine how people interact with technology and each other."

We approached a set of double doors that slid open silently as we neared them. Inside, a woman in a white lab coat looked up from a holographic display, her expression curious.

"This is Dr. Aris," Olivia introduced. "She is one of their lead researchers. Aris, this is Ethan Kepler, the visionary behind Project EDEN."

"A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kepler," Dr. Aris said, extending a hand. Her grip was firm, and her gaze was sharp, analyzing me with an intensity that made me feel like she was already scanning my data.

"Just Ethan is fine," I said, trying to appear confident. "And the pleasure is all mine, Dr. Aris. Your facility is… quite impressive."

"Thank you," she replied, a hint of pride in her voice. "We strive for excellence here at YGD. Olivia has told me a little about your project. A virtual reality network, you say?"

"That is right," I confirmed, feeling a surge of excitement as I launched into my pitch. "Imagine a digital space where people can experience a whole new reality, interact with others, and even build their own worlds. It is not just about entertainment; it is about connection, communication, and limitless possibilities."

Dr. Aris listened intently, her gaze never leaving my face. When I finished, she nodded slowly, a thoughtful expression on her face.

"A fascinating concept," she admitted. "And quite ambitious, as Olivia mentioned. What exactly do you envision as the core architecture for this network?"

"I have a blueprint for the core architecture," I said, reaching into my backpack for the Digivice. "It is still in its early stages, but it lays out the foundational framework for the entire system."

I pulled out my Digivice, ready to project the blueprint. Olivia gave me a look that silently screamed don't mess this up.

I tapped my Digivice, and the screen flickered to life. I selected the EDEN blueprint and then angled it towards the wall. A shimmering, intricate holographic projection of EDEN's core architecture burst forth, spreading across the sterile white wall. It was all laid out: the massive server farms, the complex data pathways, the virtual environments layered one on top of another like a digital city.

[HOLOGRAM PROJECTING]

"This is it," I announced, a wide grin on my face. "The foundational code for EDEN. It is a completely immersive virtual reality network. Users will not just look at a screen; they will step inside, interact, and truly live in this digital world."

Dr. Aris stepped closer, her eyes scanning the holographic display with an almost surgical intensity. She reached out, her fingers passing through the ethereal light of the projection, a look of profound fascination on her face. Olivia, ever composed, simply watched, a knowing smirk on her lips.

"The data layering here is incredibly advanced," Dr. Aris murmured, almost to herself. "And the energy requirements for a network of this scale… they would be astronomical with current technology."

"That is where you guys come in," I said, my confidence growing. "YGD is on the cutting edge of networking research, right? Tony and I can handle the hardware. We need your expertise to make the data flow seamlessly, to optimize the network, to create the true next-generation internet."

Dr. Aris turned from the projection, her sharp gaze now fixed on me. "You mentioned Tony Stark," she said, her voice devoid of emotion. "Is he involved in this project?"

"Absolutely," I confirmed. "He is my partner in DataStream Dynamics, the company we are building around EDEN. He is already excited about the possibilities, and he is convinced that with your help, we can make this a reality."

"Tony Stark is a brilliant man, no doubt," Olivia interjected smoothly, stepping forward to stand beside me. "But even he recognizes the need for specialized expertise in network architecture. That is why we are here, Dr. Aris. YGD has a reputation for innovation that is unmatched."

Dr. Aris remained silent for a moment, her eyes darting between me, Olivia, and the glowing blueprint on the wall. The silence stretched, making me wonder if I had overstepped or if my pitch had been too… me.

"This is beyond fascinating," Dr. Aris finally said, her voice a little softer now, a hint of excitement breaking through her professional demeanor. "The implications of this technology… they could reshape society as we know it."

"Exactly!" I exclaimed, feeling a rush of relief. "We are talking about a new era of human connection, a place where anything is possible."

"Indeed," she agreed, a small smile gracing her lips. "I would like to run some preliminary simulations on your blueprint, if you would permit me. Our computational models can give us a clearer picture of the challenges and potential breakthroughs."

"Of course," I replied, handing her my Digivice. "Take all the time you need. This is a game-changer, Dr. Aris. We are talking about building a new world."

She took the Digivice, her fingers brushing mine, and then turned back to the holographic display, already lost in thought. Olivia gave me a subtle nod, a silent acknowledgment that the first hurdle had been cleared. I could not help but grin. This was going to be epic.
