Chapter 6 - Ch.6

That night, after they had bathed together, Est held Luo Guang in her arms and fell soundly asleep.

They didn't wake up until the next morning.

Even in the morning, Est was still a bit drowsy. This was because, as the Demon-Slaying Holy Sword, Est needed to sleep to replenish her energy.

In her original world, a high-ranking elemental spirit like her would return to the Spirit World to restore her energy.

But in Luo Guang's current situation, his power wasn't enough to fully sustain Est's human form. So, she would usually stay in her sword form and sleep, only emerging when Luo Guang needed to fight, when they were alone, or when she wanted to.

Golden sunlight sprinkled across the streets, creating a mosaic of light.

The sidewalks were filled with office workers and students. The girls in Kuoh Academy's uniforms were vibrant and beautiful, their youthful energy leaving many onlookers mesmerized.

However, these girls, who were considered a beautiful sight by others, had their attention focused on a single male student: Luo Guang.

His appearance was already handsome, and his height was exceptional, taller than almost all of his peers and even most adults.

After two and a half years of training, his demeanor had changed dramatically. He wasn't overtly arrogant, but he was certainly extraordinary. With his academic and athletic achievements making him number one in the school, it was difficult for Luo Guang to remain low-key.

His reputation spread beyond his own school, and students from other schools had heard of his name as well.

Another reason for Luo Guang's explosive popularity was that Kuoh Academy used to be an all-girls school. Although it had become co-ed, the student selection process was still quite strict.

Because of this, some delinquent students and young adults who couldn't get in would often harass the girls in the surrounding area.

Once, Luo Guang intervened. The delinquents, humiliated, returned with dozens of their friends to ambush him after school.

Luo Guang took down every single one of them by himself, solidifying his status as a hero in the eyes of the girls at the school.

Luo Guang was finally able to leave the crowd of girls once he entered the classroom. He felt helpless; being too perfect was a curse.

"Aah, the protagonist is here. Now all the girls' eyes in the class will be on him again."

"Damn it, how can there be such a perfect person in the world? If only I were like that."

"Wake up, you're dreaming. Let's not think about the girls in this class. As long as this guy is here, we'll never have a chance, sob..."

The few boys in the class secretly huddled together and grumbled.

Compared to the girls, most of the boys saw Luo Guang as a public enemy.

But they only dared to complain in private.

Luo Guang heard them but felt nothing.

Although it wasn't his intention, a man like him was destined to be a blazing sun wherever he went. Even if he did nothing, he would still radiate a powerful glow.

Because the sun is always there.

Unless he actively hid, there would be no place where his light could not reach.

Luo Guang took out a book and silently started reading, ignoring the stares of others.

He knew that many people in this class were watching him.

Excluding the background characters, the most notable ones were Touka Kirishima, Eriri Spencer Sawamura, and Koneko Toujou.

Through his knowledge of the source material, Luo Guang knew the identities of these three.

One was a ghoul, but just as there were good and bad devils, there were good and bad ghouls. She was currently working part-time at a coffee shop, her identity a secret.

Eriri was an old acquaintance from middle school.

It was funny, but their acquaintance wasn't from some dramatic "damsel in distress" plot.

As an aspiring amateur manga artist who had loved "ACG" culture since childhood, she was thoroughly defeated by Luo Guang in both storytelling and art.

With his sublime drawing skills, Luo Guang could make both men and women's blood boil just by looking at his art. Having seen countless masterpieces in his past life, he only had to draw a single piece to make Eriri grit her teeth and admit defeat.

But the young girl's pride was strong, so every so often, she would draw a new piece and invite Luo Guang to view it, hoping to get some praise from him.

The sly, sneaky look in her eyes now meant she had probably just finished a new work.

But there was no chance for him to admire it at school.

As for Koneko Toujou, she was a servant of the devil noble Rias Gremory in the Occult Research Club.

She had previously invited him to become a servant, but he had refused. Luo Guang knew very well that Rias wouldn't give up so easily.

If he were in her shoes, he would do the same.

The school bell rang, and Mafuyu Kirisu—wearing a business suit with black stockings and short, light pink hair—walked into the classroom with a serious expression.

"Alright, everyone, we're having a pop quiz today."

"What?!"

At her words, the classroom filled with groans of protest.

Koneko Toujou and Eriri Spencer Sawamura were shocked.

The former had been staying up all night playing games, while the latter had been up all night drawing and admiring other art for reference. Neither of them had reviewed any of their schoolwork.
