POV: First
Spending the next twenty minutes consuming all of the food Nyx brought for me, I stood up and wiped my mouth before walkign towards the door.
"Nyx, I don't know how much my home could have changed since my death. Show me to the throne room," I ordered as I opened the doors to the chamber.
"Very well, my lord," Nyx gave with a slight bow as she stepped before me.
Following behind Nyx, I could not help but let my eyes linger on her face and body. When I was alive, I had barely seen a woman who could match her beauty in royalty, and now someone like her was just a housemaid. Perhaps I shall court her if she is not taken once I reclaim my throne.
As we walked through the empty halls of my old home, I could see the lack of upkeep and how it had lost the charm it once had long ago.
"From what I can tell, the castle has not been taken care of. What happened to the mana core that kept it in pristine condition?" I asked as we turned down the hall
"...It was taken by my Lord Odin. He kept it in his own home to study it and replicate it. From what I hear, all homes in the sky kingdom have miniature mana cores," Nyx explained.
"...Odin, I'm not surprised...that man was always too curious for his own good," I said, letting out a small laugh of annoyance.
As we continued down the hall, I stopped in my tracks as I saw A picture of my brother Baldin, his wife Camila, and their children. Looking at my brother, I could see the sadness and pain in his eyes.
"Don't worry, little brother, I will fix everything for you, your family, our family...trust me," I said, placing a hand on the picture.
"My lord, we are almost at the throne room. From what I can see, they are still holding the meeting since the royal guards of the other families are still here," Nyx said, pointing down the hall at a pair of large obsidian doors with mana cystals that gave off the look of a night sky filled with stars.
Standing before the door was a group of ten people, each dressed in specialized armor, and all bore a different ensignia on their arms. The only thing that matched was the star symbol on their back, which was the ensignia for our kingdom and my family's birthright, our eyes.
"My lord, I suggest we wait. Those are the elite guard who won't let anyone in, and with you being dead for over 1000 years, they won't have learned of you as much as the later generation of the royal family," Nyx added.
"I will deal with that, you're just staying close," I replied as I walked towards the large doors.
POV: Third
"Hey, go away. The Royal family and council are in a meeting you may not enter," A large, built orc dressed in white fur armor holding a large battle axe spoke, stepping forward.
"Get out of my way...a king may enter his throne room whenever he wishes," Klaus sighed, looking up at the man.
"Look, don't go causing problems in the castle, servant. Why did you bring this man here?" as a male elf archer in green-tinted armor asked with a sigh
" I will give you all one chance to leave," Klaus replied, pissed that these people stood in his way.
"I don't know what gave you the arrogance to come here, but it will be your death," Spoke a woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes as she walked up, drawing her sword
"I, Evagelien Garcehold, will strike away your arrogance," the knight spoke, pointing her blade at Klau.s
Dashing forward at blinding speeds, she wanted to cut off Klaus's head in one go, but as her blade got close to Klaus, she stopped a few feet away, unable to move her body.
"W-what?...What did you do?" Evagelien asked her body, still frozen
"First law of the royal guard: Protect the royal family with my life. Second law of the royal guard, I shall take my own life before laying a hand on one with royal blood," Klaus spoke in a cold voice as Evageliens' body began to move, but forcing her to place her blade at her neck.
"W-who are you? How do you..." Evagelien questioned as her body moved against her
"Look into my eye, royal guard, tell me what you see," Klaus said, walking closer.
"Evagelien, watch out," the archer said as he was about to launch an arrow.
But right as he was about to let go, his body also began forcing him to run his bow, pointing it at his own neck.
"What the hell? My body won't listen to me," the archer spoke, trying to fight back.
"He...this man...He is royal blood. I-I don't know how, but he has the eyes of the starborn bloodline..." Evagelien spoke, the realization hitting her as she stared into Klaus' eyes
"Impossible, those eyes were lost to the family generation ago," the orc spoke, not believing what he heard.
"What did you say...my family lost their eyes?!" Klaus asked, his anger growing
Walking past Evagelien, Klaus walked up to the doors. As the other member of the guard attempted to stop him, they all met the same fate of holding their weapons ready to take their own lives at a command.
Pushing the door open, Klaus saw a group of twelve people sitting at a round table. At the head of the table were a young man and a woman sitting on the throne.
Looking into their eyes, Klaus saw that he dreaded his family had lost their birthright, their eyes that allowed them to see the stars, the eyes that gave them absolute mastery over mana. The eyes that could make them god killers.
"Damn it, Baldin, what happened when I died. Odin, Zeus, you dammned bastard, I swear I will gut both of you for doing this to my family. OUR BIRTHRIGHT taken from us....YOU BASTARDS!!!," Klaus screamed with such deep anger and hatred that his mana was released in waves, causing the storm outside to become worse and lightning to strike the surrounding fields.
As the group looked upon the man whose anger and mana shocked the room, they all turned to her royal guards to see them frozen, their weapons pointed at themselves.
"Who do you think you are, making a ruckus in the presence of the royal family. You clearly don't value your life," the dragonborn spoke as a pair of golden wings grew from his back.
"I may speak however I wish to descendants...Or the meager watered down blood that's left of my family," Klaus replied, walking forward with shit star-shaped eyes glowing in an unseen intensity.
"Who are you? And what do you mean by descendants?" the young woman at the head of the table asked
"Don't tell me you don't recognize your old king," Klaus said, walking right up to the pair.
"Your majesty run!, I can't move my body, it won't listen to me,' the dragonbron spoke
"Neither can I. I can't even use my magic against him," the elf added, struggling against her own body
"Who are you?" the young king spoke no fear, no worry in his voice.
"Klaus Von Alduien, the Starborn King," spoke Nyx as she knelt behind Klaus.
"No, impossible, you died during the war over 1000 years ago," the young queen said.
"Let's skip this game of back and forth, look at my eyes, tell me, am I your king or not?" Klaus spoke, looking down at the young man
