Aurora's POV
Looking at myself in the mirror, I could see a girl wearing a beautiful wedding dress with no smile on her face. She didn't look happy.
I prayed something would happen and the wedding would get canceled but nothing. I was staring at my empty self, waiting to be taken to the altar.
"You look beautiful, even more precious than last time," Elena complimented but I wasn't feeling any compliment at the time.
"What's going on now?" I asked curiously, "I have been in this dressing room for a long time."
"Nothing, your Father will come soon; everyone is already at the church waiting," Happiness radiated from Elena's face as she stared at me.
"Aurora," I turned towards the door when I heard Father's voice and I ran to hug him, "Let's go," I nodded my head and followed Father.
I held Father by his arms as we walked down the aisle; the hall was so full, and there weren't many people at my wedding with Alpha Elijah, but this was different.
I lowered my gaze the whole time to the altar. I was scared, but I said my vows. We came up with any vow, we used the ones we were given.
"Promise you will take care of my princess," Father asked for the hundredth time, and the Lycan King answered. For some reason, I could hear irritation in his voice but I didn't say anything.
"We will spend time and will also get ready for the wedding reception," I hugged Father as the Lycan King informed him.
"I will always keep in touch and send your trusted people soon," Father pulled away from the hug with a smile. I could see, I was the only person frowning during my own wedding.
We had the wedding reception in three days. I don't like being in a public space so I wondered how I would manage it.
"There are rules in this house and you must follow them," The Lycan King's voice became cold when we entered his house.
This wasn't the way he spoke to me the other day and this wasn't the way he spoke to my Father earlier.
"You won't see me much, so you should always ask Ava and my mother for help," The Lycan King added, and I nodded my head.
To be honest, I didn't expect much after Alpha Elijah; my heart felt empty, and I didn't care what he was saying.
"Who is Ava?" I remember hearing the crowd talk about her the day he proposed marriage to me.
"I don't understand the things you just did with your hands," I nodded my head in understanding. I would have been surprised if he knew.
"Show her to the room," He ordered and I followed the maid to the room she let me to.
I entered the room, and she didn't; she shut the door behind me. I guess she wasn't allowed inside the room.
The room was decorated with rose petals and candles. It was beautiful, I had never been in a room like this.
What a pervert, why did he even do this? Does he want to get down to business easily? Can't he be patient? We don't even know each other well enough to do it yet or is he in need of an heir?
"Child," I turned when I heard someone's voice by the door. I smiled and bowed my head in respect; she was an elderly woman who looked around her 80s.
"I'm sorry I didn't come to your wedding; I wasn't doing well," The elderly lady smiled, and I smiled back at her.
She looked around the room, and I, on the other hand, wondered who she was, "That's weird; Tristan wouldn't do something like this," She muttered under her breath, but I heard her loud and clear.
She didn't call him Lycan, she called him by his name. I was wondering who this woman was when she said, "I'm the oldest person in this household. I'm Tristan's grandmother, but you can call me Mariam or Grandmother."
I touched her feet to take her blessings, and she touched my head as a sign of accepting my greetings, "May you have a healthy and happy married life."
I couldn't even communicate with her, I wish Elena and Scott would arrive soon.
"If Tristan had arranged this then I should leave so you can get ready for him," She kissed her hand and used her hand to touch my face.
A strange look set in on her face as she looked around the room one more time before leaving the room.
I removed all the pins from my hair and undressed, I took a quick bath without the help of anyone.
I picked up the nightwear I had found on the bed. I didn't like it, it was too revealing but I didn't have much choice as it was my wedding night and I didn't even want it to happen.
I wore it and sat on the bed waiting for my husband to come, I waited the whole night without closing my eyes. I stood up when I heard someone opening the door and it was already morning.
"Ava?" The Lycan King removed his coat and threw it on the bed. I couldn't even say it wasn't Ava so I just kept quiet.
"I know you are angry, thank you for coming to my room this morning, I'm sorry, I got married to that mute girl without informing you properly," He sat on the chair without looking back to confirm if it was Ava in the room,
Who exactly was this Ava lady? How much did this woman mean to him?
"I shouldn't have, I know you waited this long so we could get married and I have disappointed you but I promise, I will honor and take care of you,
My punishment is, I won't have any intimate or friendly relationship with her till I get you married to the most eligible ranked bachelor in the most respected pack,
I believe I should assure you that I do not love her, and I have never had any type of feelings for her; I just have my reasons for marrying her," He poured water into a cup and drank from it.
I knew it, I wasn't even surprised by that but I felt hurt. Was I that bad? Was I that unloveable? What were his reasons for marrying me?
"You are quiet, I can see you are angry, let me make you a promise, if I can't find a good man for you, a man that is a hundred times better than me then I shall declare marriage to you and end it with the mute, I promise on the pack seal."
I shut my eyes the moment those words left his mouth. I lost my balance and mistakenly fell the flower vase by his bedside.
"Ava?" I felt scared as Tristan hurriedly stood up and turned on the light.
