Chapter 13 - chapter 13:

Rajesh told Sajid that everyone could enter this forest willingly, but getting out of it was not easy. Sajid asked why that was the case. In reply, Rajesh said that some fog covers the path to getting out of the forest, and the fog is so thick that you can not see what is ahead of you clearly. On top of that, the path is like a maze; once you enter, you will find yourself back at the same place as the beginning of your journey. Then another question popped up in Sajid's head, which was how he secured living sacrifices for the ritual of the village.

Rajesh told him that there will always be some people who will have no place to go in the outside world. So every few weeks, people will enter this forest to seek refuge; that's when he captured them. Besides, he told Sajid that sacrifices for the village did not involve living sacrifices of people. At first, any living animal would do, but over time, the sacrifices came to be only humans. Rajesh also told him that this forest is not normal. The ecosystem here is very twisted. The animal, plants, and even water are all very polluted, and blindly consuming them would cause irreversible damage to the human body.

Rajesh told him that to live in this twisted and dark environment, the power of a Jinn or magical powers is a must. Rajesh also told him that Annaya was the first villager of the village of Fatehpur. Nobody knows how old she is. She was the one who helped the people who had walked into this forest and had nowhere to go. She created this village by helping people and maintained it to his day.

Rajesh also told him that's why nobody pointed him the lie about where he is from and why he did not have basic knowledge about the outside world. Because everybody who can survive here must have a dark secret, and they must have something special about them. Then proceeds to ask Annaya to tell him that there were other villages in the neighbouring areas. Was that true?

Rajesh replied that it was true. They had formed the village under the same circumstances and because of the will to survive. The village name was Rakahain. The village of Fatehpur and the village of Rakahain have maintained a close relationship. They always maintain the contract with each other, and they also help each other in need. Rajesh also told him that the other area beside the river, which is near the village very dangerous in this forest. Nobody ventures out in that part, not even the hunters. Rajesh proceeds to tell him that the other areas ' ecosystem is very dangerous. Not only are the animals there mutated, but also the trees. Even the air, the sun, water the very nature are brimming with evil energy in that part. Nobody who ventured there returned alive to this day.

Sajid realised that he came from the other part of the river. The other part might be twisted because of the curse that was placed on his hometown. Sajid tactfully said nothing about his experience in his hometown and just listened. Then Rajesh proceeds to ask why he wants strength and what his end goal is. Because, depending on the answer, the training would be different.

Sajid told him that he wished for the strength to protect himself, and he wants to get out of the forest, as he still has some unfinished business in the outside world. Rajesh nodded and told him to come to his house in the early morning to start his training. By the time Sajid left Rajesh's house, it was afternoon. Sajid decided to do some meditation at home to spend the rest of the day.

As usual, Sjiad started his mediation, and this time he did not find any improvements in his power core, which proved his hypothesis that the more he uses his power, the more his power core grows. After meditating and getting a piece of mind, he went to sleep. The next morning, Sajid woke up early and went to Rajesh's house to start his training. Rajesh, seeing Sajid, got out of his home and started walking, and told Sajid to follow him. The duo walked quite a bit, and soon Sajid found himself outside of the village's protection.

Rajesh took Sajid outside of the village's protection and stood by the river. Then told Sajid to run all the way to the village from the river. From the river to the village's location was quite a distance, and the path was not very safe. Any monsters could attack him at any moment. Sajid hesitated, but seeing Rajesh's stern experssion, he swallowed his words and started running.

Sajid went to the village and again came back to the starting location beside Rajesh. Luckily, nothing attacked him on the journey. Rajesh told him that the surroundings of the village are being cleaned very regularly by the hunters and the guards. Thus, the paths are relatively safe compared to other places within this forest. After that, Rajesh ran 4 more times, and he finally ran out of breath.

Rajesh then told him to wait, take a rest to catch his breath. Then he told him to start doing push-ups and other physical training. By the time Sajid finished his training, it was beginning to get dark. Sajid was dead tired. He did not learn a single thing about magic or about his magic training. All he did was physical training in this scorching hot sun. Rajesh told him to get up quickly and go to the village as quickly as possible, preferably before the sun goes down.

This was another mystery to Sajid. After getting out of that cursed place, Sajid did not see the night sky even once, and as everyone inside the village acted like night was some horrible thing, he dared not ask. So he and Rajesh were walking and going to the village, Sajid asked why there was such a harsh restriction at night, and what happens if somebody goes out at night. Rajesh replied that he did not want to know because the more he knows, the more he has a chance of being affected.
