Maya and I spent most of the evening watching Stranger things: season four, and somehow, her presence in the house had managed to make me feel better.
I no longer thought about my weirdly evil family and everything they did to me in the past. However, I did think about the countless ways I could get back at them, as well as find out what they must've done to me to make my wolf so weak.
During the course of our movie time, I attended to a few work calls and emails, and about an hour into the movie, my doorbell rang.
"Our food is here!" Maya squealed in excitement, and I could only laugh as she jumped to her feet.
I watched her round the sofa and run off to get the door, but a minute passed and then two… I heard nothing. I stood up quickly and rushed to the door to check on what was holding her back, but to my utter dismay, I found Gavin standing there, his face flushed and his hair messy. But he wasn't trying to talk to Maya, no. He was trying to come into the house.
