Rosia woke up in her strange, ever-changing bedroom. The floor beneath her sometimes felt like it was moving, and her closet was a mystery she didn't want to explore just yet—there was definitely something growling inside.
Today was her first "real" day at demon school. Well, sort of. Because in this crazy place, school didn't have normal classes or schedules. Instead, everything was a surprise challenge or an unexpected problem that popped up.
Rosia got ready and headed out to meet her new "classmates." She ran into Zed, the friendly demon boy with crooked fire-blue hair and a big smile.
"Hey, Rosia! Ready for your first Demon School thingy?" Zed asked cheerfully.
"I guess," Rosia said nervously. "What kind of thingy?"
"Orientation! Where you meet everyone and try not to get burned by a fireball or eaten by a weird monster," Zed explained.
Soon, they joined a crowd of demons who looked all kinds of strange—some had lots of horns, some had wings, and others had tails that waved like they had a mind of their own.
The teacher, Professor Malcador, appeared in a huge burst of red smoke. He looked scary, wearing a hat that looked like a squished pumpkin.
"Welcome!" he said loudly. "Today, you will learn basic magic. But beware, it might get explosive!"
Rosia was nervous but did her best. When she tried to make a glowing ball, it suddenly burst into a swarm of tiny bats that flew everywhere! Everyone laughed as she chased the bats around the hall.
Zed helped by throwing a sock (he had a lot of stolen socks!), and the bats got distracted. Everyone clapped, including the teacher, who smiled just a little.
Next, they went to the Spellbook Room—a huge space filled with flying books and scrolls that whispered secrets. Rosia picked up a book called How to Survive Demon School Without Getting Burned that sneezed out a smoky cat that ran away.
Zed laughed and said, "That book's helped me a lot!"
At lunch, things got even crazier. Food trays started to explode, and one dish called "chili surprise" almost set Zed's hair on fire.
Rosia told her new friends about her parents—her mom was a famous sorceress, and her dad was a brave demon warrior. They had disappeared mysteriously, which made Rosia's life here even more unusual.
Zed said with a grin, "Sounds like you're destined for some wild adventures!"
The day ended with a group challenge—Rosia and her friends had to find their way out of a magical maze full of fake doors and silly riddles. They worked together, with Grag doing funny dances to help solve the puzzles.
At the end, a friendly demon janitor gave them magical candy that smelled like bubblegum and rain. Rosia smiled—this weird place was starting to feel like home.
