"Just park the car here. I'll have someone unload it tonight."
Leon pulled out a wad of cash from his pocket and placed it in the truck driver's hand, smiling as he patted the driver's shoulder twice. "This is for the freight, a bonus for coming so quickly, and the rest is for tonight's dinner."
"Go on, find a place to rest for the night. You can come back and pick up the car tomorrow."
The driver looked at the wad of cash in his hand and was incredibly touched, bowing so low his head almost reached his crotch.
"Thank you very much!!"
"You are too kind, boss. This is my business card. If you need anything in the future, feel free to call me!"
Leon chuckled as he took the business card, glanced at the name on it, and then tucked it into his pocket.
"No problem. I'll call you if I need anything again."
Leon watched the driver leave, then turned and opened the truck compartment. Conan, standing nearby, asked curiously, "Brother Leon, why did you buy so much A4 paper?"
"To exchange for things, of course!"
The A4 paper in the compartment was all in full boxes. Each large box contained six smaller boxes, and each small box had 10 packs of A4 paper.
"Exchange for things?"
Conan couldn't imagine what these A4 papers could be exchanged for. He quietly watched Leon swing the pickaxe in his hand, striking the boxes.
At this moment, Leon suddenly asked, "Conan, how many people have died these past few days?"
Conan: "..."
"Three people have died..."
"You've improved! Three people died in just two days!"
Conan said helplessly, "Who wants this kind of improvement? I don't want it either. Uncle Mouri Kogoro was invited to a villa in the mountains, and he took me and Ran along as guests. Who knew something like this would happen?"
"Invited Mouri Kogoro? Haha, besides needing him for an alibi, who would invite a detective to their home for no reason?"
Leon put all the boxes from the compartment into his backpack.
Conan thought about it and felt that Leon's words made a lot of sense, nodding in agreement. Every time someone invited Uncle Mouri to be a guest, nothing good ever happened.
"But... even if I don't go, they would still die. Some murderers and victims have held grudges against each other for over ten years."
Leon just smiled and didn't explain anything. While Conan's 'God of Death' aura was just a joke, when something happens a thousand times, it's no longer a joke...
"Let's go, let's find a place to eat first. Oh, by the way, have you still not confessed to Ran?"
Leon and Conan left the rented warehouse. From now on, this would be his material procurement station. For certain materials that were difficult to acquire in the Backrooms or Minecraft, he could arrange for people to buy them directly in the Detective Conan World.
"I don't know how to tell Ran..."
When this topic came up, Conan's confident expression disappeared, looking flustered and cute, as if he was about to confess to a goddess he had secretly admired for three years.
Leon took out the small scooter he had bought with Conan earlier from his backpack and placed it on the ground. He handed Conan a helmet and said, "A real man, of course, just charges straight in!"
"Call Ran now and tell her to wait at the detective agency's entrance. I'll pick her up, and we'll go out for dinner together."
Conan became very hesitant upon hearing Leon's words, stammering and not knowing how to speak.
Leon directly grabbed Conan by the collar and placed him on the front of the scooter, saying with an exasperated look, "You're both men, what's there to hesitate about?"
"Do you know how frustrated I was when I watched the anime before? Every time Ran suspected you, she was interrupted by various coincidences. Do you know how uncomfortable that suspended feeling is?"
"No, you don't know. You just know how to take advantage of being small to bathe and sleep with Ran."
Conan: "..."
This is supposedly my girlfriend. What's with your resentful tone?
"Hold on tight! Let's go!"
Leon twisted the throttle hard, and the small scooter beneath him immediately shot forward. Although small, it had plenty of power.
The warehouse was not too far from Mouri Kogoro's detective agency. In less than twenty minutes, Leon rode the motorcycle and stopped at the agency's entrance.
"If you don't make the call, then I'll go up and invite Ran myself, and I won't even take you. You have three seconds to think about it."
"I'll call!"
Conan took a deep breath and agreed, as if resigned to his fate.
He pulled out a silver flip phone from his pocket, found Ran's number, and dialed it.
Clearing his throat, he said in a very childish voice, "Sister Ran, I'm downstairs. Mr. Leon said he'd like to treat you and me to dinner. Hurry and come down."
"Ah? That... it's because I helped Mr. Leon with something, so Mr. Leon is treating you and me to dinner."
"Uncle Mouri? He won't starve to death!"
Leon: "..."
Is this how you pursue someone's daughter??
If I were Mouri Kogoro, I'd rather let Ran marry abroad than let her marry you.
Conan said a couple more sentences and then hung up the phone. He then said helplessly, "Ran will be down soon. I... I really don't know how I'll face her after I tell her my identity."
"Face her? Just face her however you face her. As long as you deal with the Black Organization, I'll immediately restore you to normal."
"Hehe."
Conan jumped off the scooter and looked at Leon, saying, "According to what you've said, it'll probably take more than ten years, or even longer, for me to deal with the Black Organization, right?"
"No... the overall timeline is only half a year. It'll be quick. By then, you'll be in the second half of second grade."
Ending it? Ending it is impossible. I can only rely on Detective Conan for food.
Conan felt a headache after hearing this. He had suffered enough from the passage of time these past few days.
Soon, Ran walked out of the detective agency, wearing a pure white T-shirt and a blue long skirt.
She looked very youthful and radiant.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Leon. Conan has caused you trouble."
"No, no, Conan was a great help to me today."
This wasn't false. Conan personally found the manufacturer for the A4 paper, called to order it, and made the payment.
Leon took out a new helmet and handed it to Ran, smiling as he said, "Let's go."
Ran took the helmet and put it on. Then, the three of them rode the small motorcycle towards the restaurant.
"Ran, when you go out with friends, do you play games?"
"Huh? Games? Mr. Leon, are you talking about computer games?"
"No, no, no... I'm talking about games like Truth or Dare."
"Um... I rarely go to bars. Even if I do, it's to accompany Sonoko Suzuki, and I don't drink, so I've only seen Sonoko Suzuki play it."
"Heh heh, then tonight you'll definitely fall in love with Truth or Dare."
