Windsor's POV
The crushing grip around my wrist finally loosened when Zion's commanding voice filled the enormous room.
Shields's disgusting, sweaty body was no longer pressed against me. Instead, Zion's protective warmth surrounded me as he stripped off his jacket and draped it over my trembling shoulders.
Safe. For the first time in what felt like hours, I could breathe again.
"Alpha Zion?" Evelyn's voice cracked as she quickly shoved her phone into her pocket, her hands shaking.
"I asked you a question. What the hell do you think you're doing?" His tone could have frozen fire.
Miguel stepped forward first, his casual attitude making my stomach churn with disgust. He acted like what they'd been doing to me was nothing more than a harmless prank.
"Relax, Alpha. We found her like this when we got here," he said with a shrug. "We were just helping Shields document everything for the Aftersound trials. That's what good friends do, right?"
