Windsor's POV
The forest air filled my lungs as Zion and I walked back toward the campsite. My gaze wandered across the towering trees, though my mind remained fixed on what we had discovered in that hidden cabin.
The horrifying scene would haunt my thoughts for weeks to come.
We had been meticulous in restoring everything to its original position. Every item returned to its exact place, leaving no trace of our intrusion except for the necklace I had taken from the skeletal remains. Our goal was simple: ensure no one would ever know we had found the secret location.
"What do we do next?" I whispered, my voice barely audible in the forest silence. The question hung between us like morning mist. "Do you believe this connects to those recordings?"
Zion's muscles tensed visibly as he maintained his forward stare.
