Zion's POV
The sound of my name made me pivot around.
"Mr. Sinclair."
His approach was measured, deliberate. Hands locked behind his spine, his entire frame radiating calculated authority. When he spoke, his tone carried that familiar smoothness laced with ice.
"This marks only the beginning," he declared, and the irony struck me that we shared identical thoughts.
I angled my head slightly, my heartbeat remaining steady. His reaction had been completely predictable.
"Beginning of what exactly?" I questioned. "Your inevitable collapse? Yeah, that much was obvious."
Mr. Sinclair simply curved his lips upward.
"Incorrect," he stated. "Yours."
Another calculated step brought him dangerously close to breaching my personal boundaries. His exhale reeked of expensive whiskey mixed with decay.
"This launches the start of your complete destruction. Of everything you hold dear."
