Inside the restaurant, only a few minutes had passed. For Master Ye and the others, it was just a walk-through, not even a warm-up.
Strictly speaking, only Master Ye moved a bit; John Wick and the others didn't even budge, they just went to watch a show.
But for Coulson and Natasha, these short few minutes felt incredibly long.
Every minute felt like an eternity for them.
They never expected that just a few minutes ago, they were boasting about how powerful S.H.I.E.L.D. was, believing Chen Ye and the others couldn't contend with it. They didn't expect that after only a few minutes, both of them would be pinned to the table by Chen Ye, or rather, by Chen Ye's subordinates.
Coulson and Natasha also heard the gunshots from the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents outside, thinking that Chen Ye's subordinates would soon be riddled with holes, and were even considering whether to spare Chen Ye's life once the Agents came in.
Just as Coulson was indulging in his pleasant fantasies, he suddenly couldn't hear the gunshots outside anymore.
At this moment, Coulson looked at Natasha with a puzzled expression, only to see that she was equally bewildered.
Just as Coulson wanted to turn his head to see what was happening outside, the gravity constantly applied to him made him unable to move.
Coulson could only curse under his breath: "Shift!"
However, from beginning to end, they never thought that Master Ye and the others could defeat Hawkeye and the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents.
After a while, Coulson and Natasha simultaneously heard the restaurant door open and the footsteps of Master Ye walking towards the kitchen, thinking that Hawkeye had come to rescue them.
Coulson quickly said, "Barton, is that you? I knew they weren't our match. I don't know what ability or magic the other party used to pin Natasha and me here. Quickly think of a way to get us out."
"There are still people in the back kitchen. Be careful, Chen Ye is in there, and he's a Mutant, Barton," Natasha, worthy of being a top Agent, didn't forget to remind Hawkeye that the danger hadn't been resolved.
Master Ye, who slowly walked over, showed a simple and honest smile after hearing what they said, "I'm sorry to disappoint you, I'm not Barton."
Master Ye then walked to Coulson's side and asked, "By the way, who is Barton? Is there an Agent named Barton outside? Is he your friend? But no matter who it is, they're all lying outside just like you. You're a bit better off, lying on the table; the people outside are lying on the ground."
"How is that possible? What did you do to the people outside? If you killed everyone outside, your people from Hell's Kitchen would be in big trouble!" Coulson said with a look of disbelief.
Master Ye didn't answer and walked into the back kitchen, leaving Natasha and Coulson looking at each other.
Seeing that Master Ye didn't respond, Coulson could only roar in frustration.
In contrast, Natasha, on the side, was very calm and even joked, "It seems we're about to become someone else's captives. Hell's Kitchen truly is full of hidden dragons and crouching tigers."
"Don't worry, he doesn't seem to intend to kill us. He probably doesn't want to provoke the federation."
Natasha clearly saw that Chen Ye didn't want to kill them; he just wanted to teach them a lesson.
However, the strength they displayed greatly shocked Natasha. If one of Chen Ye's subordinates was so powerful, let alone Chen Ye himself.
Natasha couldn't help but think that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s current power seemed insufficient to deal with Chen Ye.
As the two were lost in thought, Chen Ye slowly walked out wearing a White apron, holding a knife inlaid with dragon patterns.
"Master Ye," Chen Ye found a chair and sat down, speaking calmly to Master Ye.
Master Ye understood and removed the gravity from Natasha and Coulson.
As soon as he finished speaking, Natasha and Coulson felt the invisible hand that had been pressing down on them disappear.
The two seemed unsure, supporting themselves on the table and slowly raising their heads.
After Natasha realized she had regained her mobility, she instantly drew the gun from her waistband and aimed it at Chen Ye and Master Ye.
"What do you want? How dare you openly attack the Federal Police and obstruct official duties?" Coulson said, raising his gun.
Chen Ye wasn't annoyed after hearing this and pointed to the camera in the corner of the restaurant, saying, "We didn't do anything. You suddenly decided to kowtow to us. If you don't believe me, you can check the surveillance."
"I advise you to go outside and take a look first. Then, reorganize your words before speaking to me." Chen Ye was truly fed up with S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents. Couldn't they see their current predicament?
He really thought Chen Ye wouldn't dare to kill them, but Chen Ye found it troublesome.
Of course, letting them go was impossible. S.H.I.E.L.D. had to pay a price.
After hearing Chen Ye's words, Natasha and Coulson exchanged glances, and then Coulson turned and rushed out.
Natasha remained highly vigilant, holding her gun aimed at Chen Ye while slowly backing away.
Chen Ye didn't stop them and wasn't worried at all that they would escape.
Agent Coulson opened the door and saw Agents lying all over the ground, thinking they had all been sacrificed.
He slowly walked towards them and found that some of the Agents' eyeballs could still move. He randomly picked one to check and found that he was still breathing.
Knowing that the Agents were not dead, Coulson breathed a sigh of relief.
Although their line of work always carried the risk of sacrifice, if so many people were sacrificed at once, he would have an inescapable responsibility in writing the report.
After confirming that the Agents had only lost their mobility, and also seeing many residents of Hell's Kitchen gathered around, Coulson knew that it was not advisable to stay here for long.
He turned back and immediately reverted to his amiable facade, saying to Chen Ye:
"Mr. Chen Ye, you see, this is all a misunderstanding. When I go back, I will explain to the higher-ups that this was completely unfounded. It's clear that the relevant department provided incorrect information because they were people from Hell's Kitchen, which led to all of this. I will testify for you and have the relevant department apologize personally."
Clearly, Coulson knew he was no match for Chen Ye and wanted to shift the blame to another department in this way.
Chen Ye looked at this man, who changed his face faster than flipping a book, with a playful expression. He truly was the glue of the Avengers.
"Why? You think that after showing off your power here and even threatening us with force, you can just brush it off with a single sentence? Oh, you just said it yourself, this is Hell's Kitchen, this is my territory. No one can do wrong here and leave without paying a price."
As soon as Chen Ye finished speaking, John Wick and the others closed the door, tightly surrounding Coulson and Natasha.
The fake smile on Coulson's face disappeared after hearing Chen Ye's words. At this moment, sweat was pouring down Coulson's face.
"I don't think Mr. Chen Ye is someone who indiscriminately kills innocent people. How about I ask our Director and see how he wants to handle this?" Natasha, on the side, was not intimidated by Chen Ye's threat; instead, she spoke very calmly.
"I don't think that's necessary. I'll talk to him myself." Chen Ye took out his phone, and just then, Chen Ye's phone rang, showing an unknown number.
