Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Deduction of the Special Class [Valkyrie]!

Among the three Special Classes—Asura, Valkyrie, and Disciple of Disaster—Irvine Wolf's initial target had been the Disciple of Disaster.

Mare Bello Fiore was a Dark Elf, a heteromorphic race, but one that lacked inherent racial classes. His entire level 100 build was composed solely of job classes, meaning this Special Class likely had no racial prerequisites . With the flexibility afforded by his "Genius" class, Irvine believed he could potentially deduce the Disciple of Disaster Special Class by sacrificing one or two intermediate classes.

The other two options were more problematic.

· Asura was a Special Class held by Cocytus. Based on the limited information from Cocytus's status sheet, this class didn't appear to have a clear connection to his core class build. Irvine suspected it might have been acquired through a special item or artifact, making it unreliable to pursue .

· Valkyrie was possessed by two known individuals: Shalltear Bloodfallen and Antilene Heran Fouche (the "Bloody Valkyrie" of the Slane Theocracy). Crucially, both were female. Irvine had initially assumed this was a gender-locked class, forcing him to focus on Disciple of Disaster .

However, the recent acquisition of the Cleric class—triggered by observing a female caster—and the "Genius" class's ability to convert it suggested a tantalizing possibility: he might have gained a de facto 'female character buff'. This opened a new path. If the buff was real, he could potentially qualify for the Valkyrie Special Class.

"Shalltear's Valkyrie class build is much clearer and more documented than Mare's Disciple of Disaster," Irvine mused, taking a deep breath. He began sketching diagrams in the dirt with his finger, recalling everything he knew about Shalltear's build.

As one of the most frequently featured characters alongside Ainz Ooal Gown, the information on Shalltear was extensive. Her level structure was:

· Racial Levels: 20 Lv (True Vampire, etc.)

· Job Levels: 80 Lv

· Total Level: 100 Lv

The classes explicitly revealed on her status sheet were:

· Valkyrie (Lancer): 5 Lv (Special Class)

· Cursed Knight: 5 Lv (High-Tier Class)

· Cleric: 10 Lv (Basic Class)

Additionally, the light novels revealed two more classes:

· Blood Drinker: 5 Lv (High-Tier Racial Class)

· Cursed Caster: 5 Lv (High-Tier Class)

Irvine was certain these were high-tier classes. Blood Drinker possessed an exclusive skill called Blood Pool, demonstrated in her battle with Ainz. Cursed Caster had a documented negative effect, causing Shalltear to fall into a berserk state upon touching blood, as seen when she first encountered Brain Unglaus's team.

So, the known classes totaled:

· Valkyrie (Lancer): 5 Lv

· Cursed Knight: 5 Lv

· Cleric: 10 Lv

· Blood Drinker: 5 Lv

· Cursed Caster: 5 Lv

· Total Known Job Levels: 30 Lv

This left 50 job levels unaccounted for—a significant gap. The information seemed too scarce for a clear deduction.

"But I'm a science student," Irvine smirked, a wave of excitement washing over him as he slipped into the analytical mindset of his past life. He quickly circled two key classes on the ground.

First, he set aside the Valkyrie Special Class itself. Cleric was a basic class and could be considered a known variable. Blood Drinker was a high-tier racial class unique to vampires, irrelevant to his human build.

The remaining two high-tier classes, Cursed Knight and Cursed Caster, would each have their own prerequisite class structures. Using a mathematical approach, he could treat the prerequisites as unknowns and solve for them.

He sketched out two logical chains:

1. Warrior Path: Basic Warrior Class (15 Lv) → Intermediate Warrior Class (10 Lv) → Cursed Knight (5 Lv) = 30 Lv

2. Caster Path: Basic Caster Class (15 Lv) → Intermediate Caster Class (10 Lv) → Cursed Caster (5 Lv) = 30 Lv

Adding these together:

· Warrior Path: 30 Lv

· Caster Path: 30 Lv

· Valkyrie: 5 Lv

· Blood Drinker (Racial): 5 Lv

· Cleric: 10 Lv

· Total: 80 Lv

It fit perfectly. Shalltear's class build suddenly snapped into clarity. The seemingly out-of-place Cleric class on an undead vampire now made sense—it was likely a prerequisite.

His theory gained further support from analyzing the other Valkyrie user, Antilene Heran Fouche of the Slane Theocracy. Her build was publicly known and notoriously chaotic :

· Warrior: 10 Lv

· Berserker: 10 Lv

· Master Warrior: 10 Lv

· Lesser Valkyrie (Almighty): 5 Lv (Degraded Special Class)

· Weapon Master: 7 Lv

· Rogue: 1 Lv

· Assassin: 5 Lv

· Executioner: 10 Lv

· Cleric: 10 Lv

· High Cleric: 10 Lv

· Inquisitor: 10 Lv

· Total: 88 Lv

Antilene's build spanned three disparate class categories (Warrior, Rogue, Faith Caster), making her far weaker than a optimized level 100 player. Her Lesser Valkyrie class was a degraded version, a phenomenon unique to New World natives who acquire a class without meeting its strict prerequisites . She likely obtained it through her unique Talent, but the prerequisites were too demanding for a proper acquisition.

Crucially, the only class both Shalltear and Antilene shared was Cleric.

"It's the key!" Irvine's eyes gleamed with excitement, a flush on his cheeks. He slammed his palm onto the ground. "Got you, Valkyrie!"

The game YGGDRASIL drew heavily from Norse mythology. The Valkyrie ("Chooser of the Slain") was a warrior figure often associated with guiding souls, a concept that bridged martial prowess and divine purpose.

The prerequisites for the true Valkyrie Special Class were likely:

1. Female (or a means to bypass the gender restriction, which his "Genius" buff might provide).

2. The basic class Cleric (the common link between both users).

3. The high-tier class Cursed Knight (a core part of Shalltear's optimized build, as it is a warrior class with dark/curse themes that could be "redeemed" into a holy warrior concept) .

"Cursed Caster" was part of Shalltear's build but was not shared with Antilene, making it less likely to be a strict prerequisite for the core Valkyrie class itself.

"Phew~" Irvine clapped the dust from his hands, exhaled heavily, and lifted his foot to erase the diagrams scratched in the dirt. While no one in this world would recognize the characters, caution was paramount.

"The high-tier class Cursed Knight... according to YGGDRASIL lore, it requires reaching level 60 and specific prerequisites," he murmured. "But the New World's mechanics allow one to bypass prerequisites by learning the class's skills first" .

A plan crystallized in his mind. "If my memory serves me right, there's a person in the Baharuth Empire who possesses the Cursed Knight class" .

He was thinking of Leinas Rockbruise, one of the Empire's Four Knights.

Knowing the speculated prerequisites for the Valkyrie class gave him a clear, actionable goal. He might not have 100% certainty, but he had a viable path to immense power.

"That person in the Baharuth Empire isn't going anywhere," Irvine stated, a newfound resolve hardening his features. "So, the first step is to gain levels and build a foundation. Then, I journey to the Baharuth Empire to find a way to acquire the Cursed Knight high-tier class."

With a clear objective finally in sight, the overwhelming dread of Nazarick's future descent receded, replaced by focused determination. Irvine Wolf stood up, brushed the dust from his clothes, and set off towards the Adventurer's Guild. It was time to stop planning and start grinding.
