Chapter 268: The Seal
Ryan and Lillie brought Victini to the top of the castle. Ryan said earnestly, "Victini, I want to capture you. Can you battle me?"
Victini flew directly from Ryan's arms, shaking its head frantically, crying out incessantly, trying to explain something to him.
Ryan frowned as he listened to Victini's cries: The Sword of the Vale was planted at the source of this dragon vein to seal the power of the dragon vein's rampage. And because of this, Victini could only live within this seal, unable to go anywhere else.
Although this place was large, it was like a cage for Victini, a cage that had sealed it for nearly a thousand years!
Ryan said, "So, if I break this seal, you will come with me, right?"
Victini was stunned: Break the seal?! What was he planning to do?!
Before Victini could react, White Kyurem and Solgaleo appeared atop the castle. Ryan jumped onto Solgaleo's back and said, "Solgaleo, White Kyurem, let's go! Break this seal!"
With that, Solgaleo roared and charged towards the scattered barrier pillars. White Kyurem also roared, its Freeze Shock shooting directly at one of the pillars.
Victini cried out anxiously, but seeing that Ryan ignored it, Victini curled up, its body emitting a pale red glow. Then, golden spheres of flame appeared around its body with Searing Shot, surrounded by blazing red, water-drop-like fire. Once the fireball was formed, Victini immediately fired it at White Kyurem.
White Kyurem, looking at its "neighbor" of nearly a thousand years, shook its head helplessly. Its blue flames collided with the fireball, deflecting it. White Kyurem called out to Victini a few times. Victini froze, its flames gradually dying down. It slumped weakly to the ground, its gaze fixed blankly on the departing Ryan and Solgaleo.
A pair of warm hands lifted Victini. Lillie held it close, saying, "Trust Ryan, he'll create a miracle! And we, we just need to witness it."
There were six barrier pillars in total, scattered around the castle. Today's events would shock all the people of Eindoak Town!
White Kyurem's Freeze Shock had already frozen one of the barrier pillars, and those around it were marveling at its power. But the next second, they had no time to think. Solgaleo's Sunsteel Strike slammed directly into the pillar, a series of cracking sounds rang out, and the entire barrier pillar gradually shattered, finally exploding!

This meant that the events in the original movie never occurred.
The Dragon Vein, however, was a powerful, invisible force surging throughout the world. If used properly, the Dragon Vein could create an environment where humans and Pokémon could live harmoniously. If used improperly, the Dragon Vein would become a ferocious force capable of causing destruction.
Lillie had found this statement in an ancient text. Ryan was skeptical of this. If the Dragon Vein was so powerful, why didn't it cause chaos elsewhere? Ryan estimated that at most, it would only turn Eindoak Town into a desert.
The chaotic form of the Dragon Vein reminded Ryan of Flabébé's nature, which also possessed destructive power. Therefore, Ryan had a bold idea: to have Flabébé control the reversed Dragon Vein, or directly absorb its power!
Even if he failed, he still had Xerneas, the Life Pokémon, and that title wasn't given lightly. A mere dragon vein was probably manageable for it. Xerneas's exclusive move, Geomancy, wasn't just for show either; Ryan had even asked Xerneas, who also indicated it was manageable and could be easily handled.
With the suppression of the barrier pillars gone, the dragon vein's power began to stir. Ryan looked at Flabébé and said, "Flabébé, it's up to you."
Flabébé nodded, and streams of energy gradually seeped from her body, slowly merging into the dragon vein beneath the earth. The dragon vein's power gradually subsided, and the slightly trembling castle stopped shaking.
