Chapter 232: Coma
Seeing Necrozma's Psycho Cut hurtling towards them, Ryan jumped off Solgaleo without a word. Solgaleo ran forward without stopping, while Ryan had Greninja block Necrozma's Psycho Cut.
Mewtwo, Celebi, Flabébé, Zeraora, Darkrai, Meloetta, and Lugia all appeared before Ryan. However, Ryan felt Necrozma's oppressive aura and couldn't help but smile bitterly, "I just dealt with a Deoxys, and now I've encountered a Necrozma at the Domain level, or even stronger. Sigh, I should have brought the others along. Although it doesn't seem like it would have made much difference."
There was no time for Ryan to react; Necrozma completely ignored him and continued its chase. But how could Ryan let it have its way! The seven legendary Pokémon immediately used their moves to attack Necrozma.
Necrozma turned around, and Ryan saw its full form.
Necrozma's body appeared to be composed of black crystalline material. Each of its enormous hands had three claws at the end, and a triangular prism-shaped crystal, fading from white to black, protruded from the back of each hand.
Its arms were slender, four-sided prisms, with a pair of forward-curving hook-shaped crystals at its elbows. Its legs were small, especially its lower legs, and its feet were slightly larger four-sided prisms, each with three forward-curving toes.
The front of its body had serrated edges, and each shoulder had two upward-protruding triangular pyramids, with the arms connecting to the gaps between the two pyramids.
Its back was an extension of the shoulder pyramids, connecting to a V-shaped crystal below, which was composed of two four-sided pyramids joined together, extending forward to Necrozma's front.
Its chest protruded forward, enclosing a triangular prism-shaped core covering its head. Necrozma also possessed a massive, four-sided pyramidal tail, with a missing section at the tip, angled over the upper part of its brain, with three four-sided pyramidal spikes protruding from the top edge.
Necrozma sensed that if it didn't defeat these Pokémon, they would still try to stop it. Therefore, Necrozma stretched out its hands, and light pierced through its prism-like body, firing a massive beam of light towards Mewtwo and the others.
"Protect!" Ryan cried, shielding his eyes.
If he wasn't mistaken, this attack was Necrozma's Prismatic Laser, and given Necrozma's strength, this attack might just knock out Ryan's entire Pokémon team!
Mewtwo and the others immediately used Protect, layer upon layer of protective barriers shielding Ryan and themselves, but against Necrozma's Prismatic Laser, it was useless. Ryan felt a sharp pain in his right shoulder, and looking down, his entire shoulder had been severely injured.
His body's regenerative abilities were rapidly healing, but his right arm was temporarily immobile. Mewtwo and the others were all knocked out, with only Lugia barely standing. Because of its young age, the other Pokémon had instinctively protected it. Necrozma had vanished, clearly chasing after Solgaleo.
"Lugia, I can only rely on you this time," Ryan said weakly, leaning against Lugia. He used his left hand to recall Mewtwo and the others, then took out medicine from his backpack and gave it to Lugia.
Lugia nodded and flew towards Solgaleo. They needed to hurry, otherwise, once Necrozma caught up with Solgaleo, Solgaleo would be no match for Necrozma and would be possessed, losing its own consciousness.
They would be in danger too. Without the passage created by Solgaleo, Ryan and the others would only face two fates: either falling into another Ultra Space or falling into the wormhole itself, teleported to who-knows-where.
"Damn it! Why did we have to run into Necrozma!" Ryan said bitterly.
Although he was prepared to face Necrozma, Ryan still underestimated it. According to the system, Necrozma's strength was already classified as a Creator God level, reaching the level of Mew and Arceus.
Tragically, they encountered Necrozma shortly after entering Ultra Space—their luck was simply terrible!
Lugia frantically flapped its wings and finally caught up with Necrozma. However, the situation was dire; Necrozma had already caught up with Solgaleo, and Necrozma's body had split into many parts, embedding themselves into various parts of Solgaleo's body.
"Come back, Solgaleo!" Ryan shouted.
The Master Ball emitted a red light, returning Solgaleo to the ball. Looking at the Master Ball, Ryan couldn't help but sigh, "The system's Master Ball is really effective!"
Necrozma, having lost its host Solgaleo, reformed into its original form. Enraged, its Psychic spread from its body, instantly destroying the vehicle Lillie and the others were in. Ryan had anticipated Necrozma's actions and used his Psychic to protect the people inside, but his Psychic was also crushed by Necrozma's power, and Ryan immediately lost consciousness.
In a hazy state, he felt a pulling force, and then completely lost consciousness.
In a desert, Lugia carried the unconscious Ryan and the worried Lillie flying. After searching for a long time, Lillie finally found the stone pillar forest where she had originally discovered the Pheromosa colony.
Lugia landed with the two, and Lillie released Pheromosa. Lillie said to Pheromosa, "Pheromosa, please tell your people to take us in. Ryan is unconscious, and Solgaleo was also knocked unconscious by that Pokémon. We must wait for him to wake up."
Pheromosa nodded and entered the place where it used to live. With the Pheromosa clan's approval, Lillie and Ryan settled there.
Ryan remained unconscious, and she had no choice but to silently care for him, hoping he would wake up soon.
But Ryan's coma lasted for nearly a month. Fortunately, Ryan had prepared extra food during his travels, allowing Lillie to survive the month by rationing carefully.
A month later, Ryan slowly regained consciousness. Lillie, her face gaunt and pale, pursed her dry, cracked lips and said hoarsely, "Ryan, you're awake. I'll get you something to eat."
"No need, Lillie. How long have I been unconscious?" Ryan looked at Lillie, his heart aching. He bought some bread and water from the system and said, "You should eat something first, not me!"
Lillie took the water and bread, asking curiously, "I've searched your backpack thoroughly. Where did this food and water come from?"
"This is a small dimensional pocket I had Unown create for me, just in case of food shortages. I didn't expect it to come in handy. Without me conscious, this space couldn't be opened. You've suffered, eat quickly," Ryan said, telling a small lie.
Lillie broke the bread in half, handing one half to Ryan, saying, "You haven't eaten much for the past month, I've been feeding you. You must be even hungrier than me. Ryan, let's eat together."
Ryan took the bread and began to eat. He couldn't cry, or Lillie would cry too. Ryan thought to himself: At this moment, his determination to deal with Necrozma reached its peak!
