"Tch!"
Sokovia, inside the HYDRA castle.
Looking at the contents written in the diary, Wanda felt a pang of dissatisfaction. "It would be better if that damned Tony Stark died in the desert."
"That way, my parents' revenge would be avenged."
"Really... calling Tony 'Tony' so affectionately... are you still my future husband...?"
Thinking back to the romantic future between herself and him described in the second diary entry, which had made her dream of sweet love, only to see him now referring to her enemy so fondly in the third entry, Wanda grew angry for a moment.
Why was it like this?
"What husband?"
Pietro, who had just entered with dinner, seemed to catch Wanda muttering something about a husband. As he handed her the meal, he asked curiously, "Did you get a boyfriend? Is it someone from the training camp or the reserve team? It can't be one of the locked-up test subjects, right?"
"What? Who would like those guys?"
Hearing Pietro's words, Wanda looked up and rolled her eyes at him. "They're just a bunch of immature brats."
"Don't forget, we're only fourteen years old!"
Placing the meal in front of Wanda, Pietro smiled and said, "Compared to them, we are indeed much more mature. But we haven't fully grown up yet."
"Don't bother me!"
Clutching the black and gold diary, Wanda turned away, not wanting to pay attention to Pietro anymore.
Although she was only fourteen, girls were always more mature than boys of the same age, especially someone like Wanda who had experienced life's ups and downs.
"But you can't skip dinner. You're still growing. Even if you want to watch your figure, health is the most important thing."
Watching Wanda hold the air again as if she were really looking at something, Pietro sighed softly.
I'm clearly the older brother, but I end up coaxing her like a younger brother.
And as the younger brother, I have to exercise the older brother's right to care for her.
But, oh well.
As long as she was happy, it was fine to play along and act naive or immature in front of her.
If it gave her a sense of accomplishment as an older sister taking care of her younger brother, then it was okay to call her "big sister" or pretend to be pitiful.
He didn't mind.
After all, she was his only family left in this world.
"Okay, I know. You eat first, Pietro. I'll eat later."
Hearing Pietro's words, Wanda turned her head and gave him a sweet smile.
Watching her figure or not, she needed to grow up healthy and strong so she could protect her younger brother!
Smiling sweetly at Pietro, Wanda continued reading her husband's—or rather, the diary that might be written by her future husband.
In the black and gold diary, the third entry continued:
[I saw her by chance today. Natasha Romanoff.]
[The moment I saw her, I trembled uncontrollably. If I hadn't forcibly suppressed the emotions in my heart, I might have really called out her name in excitement.]
[I don't know if she's here under a new identity to continue a mission, or if her S.H.I.E.L.D. mission is over and she wants to change her identity to clear her mind and experience a different life.]
[Whichever it is, I shouldn't call out her name or disturb her.]
[Compared to the other Avengers members, she has always been different.]
[At the very least, my feelings for her are different.]
Reading this, Wanda frowned slightly.
Another woman?
What does it mean, "feelings for her are different"?
What about me?
Didn't the first two diaries say that I am his future wife?
How come his feelings for this woman named Natasha Romanoff are "different"?
An inexplicable irritability rose in her heart, but Wanda didn't show it. Instead, she chose to keep reading.
She wanted to see what kind of woman this was who could make her future boyfriend—her husband—have such unusual feelings for her.
[Actually, among the original Avengers, she was the first one I met.]
[The first time I met her, she was a bartender. The second time, she was a waitress at a restaurant.]
[I've seen her at a company I used to work for, and I've also seen her at Yellowstone Park.]
[She always has many identities: bartender, nightclub DJ, waitress, tour guide...]
[Later, after joining the first-generation Avengers, I once asked her why she liked to switch between so many identities.]
[She smiled and told me it was her way of relieving stress—experiencing different lives through different roles eased her tense emotions.]
[To be honest, I understand her preference. She never had a choice before; the first half of her life was too cruel.]
[Sometimes, it's good to experience the life of an ordinary person.]
[It's precisely because she never had the chance to live an ordinary life that she longs for it and yearns for it.]
[People always yearn for the life they never had!]
[To be honest, I'm still a little emotional now, because she was the most important reason I joined the first-generation Avengers.]
