With her legs crossed on the seat frame, Natasha Romanoff reclined, eating a sandwich while on a video call with Nick Fury.
"I'm certain; many things can't be faked."
Looking at Nick Fury while taking a bite of her sandwich, Natasha Romanoff said very seriously, "Actually, he recognized me the moment he saw me."
"He just didn't call me out on it. But I think he probably assumes I'm on some mission or just choosing a way to unwind after one, rather than deliberately approaching him."
"So, on the premise that I don't affect him, he didn't expose me directly."
"And what was Su Che's reaction upon seeing you?" Nick Fury continued asking.
"Nostalgic. If I had to pick the right words to describe it, it would be excitement and nostalgia."
"It was like suddenly seeing an old friend you haven't met for a long time."
"Excited, yet a bit rusty."
At this point, Natasha Romanoff tossed the half-eaten sandwich into the lunch box. "Nick, you know I'm not a picky eater. I've eaten worse things, even in desperate situations or on missions."
"But, can we change the cook in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s cafeteria? Our budget isn't that tight. This sandwich is a bit sour."
Ignoring Natasha's complaint, Nick Fury said, "Anyway, with your physical fitness, even if the sandwich were rotten, eating it wouldn't harm you."
"Alright, let's get down to business. What's your first impression of this Su Che?"
"How should I put it? He's definitely someone who has been through a lot!"
Recalling the scene of her brief chat with Su Che, Natasha Romanoff withdrew her foot from the frame, and her expression turned serious.
"Whether in terms of demeanor or words and actions, it's not a feeling a nineteen-year-old young man can project."
"Some temperaments simply can't be faked."
"It's an aura of someone who has weathered the world's storms yet remains resilient. This aligns with what's written in the diary about the ten-year career of an Avenger superhero."
"Although our conversation was brief, I could detect a hint of anxiety and fatigue in his eyes."
"This also matches the diary's claim that every night, even in his dreams, he's subconsciously searching for a way to save the world."
"Overall, he made a deep impression on me during our first meeting. I kind of like the sense of world-weariness in his story-filled eyes. It's quite attractive."
Having said that, Natasha Romanoff hesitated for a moment before finally picking up the half-eaten sandwich again.
"Additionally, from a behavioral perspective, he prefers to sit by the window in the coffee shop every morning."
"Drinking a cup of unsweetened, hand-ground black coffee while basking in the sun might seem meaningless at first glance—just someone enjoying the sun and bitter coffee."
"But in reality, bitter coffee can refresh you and help you concentrate on thinking. And I've observed all the spots in that coffee shop."
"His chosen spot is the most convenient distance from the doors and windows. If something happens outside, the person sitting there can provide support the fastest."
"At the same time, if there's any danger inside the coffee shop, that position allows him to rush and intervene immediately."
Looking at Nick Fury, Natasha Romanoff said seriously, "What kind of person subconsciously chooses the position most convenient for preventing danger and providing support, rather than for escaping or causing chaos?"
"Nick, perhaps this is one piece of evidence, as written in the diary, of his ten-year superhero career."
"Even his choice of seat has become a habit—subconsciously picking a place where he can protect others first."
Hearing this, Nick Fury was silent for a moment.
"I'm thinking... after more than a decade as a superhero, he came to our world inexplicably because he failed to save his world from destruction."
"But why is he nineteen? So young?"
"And Natasha, according to Hill's investigation data, he really does seem to have appeared in this world just over half a month ago."
"All life traces and records from before half a month ago are gone. It's as if he materialized out of thin air."
"So where did his money come from? I made a map based on his activity patterns over the past half month. The investigation this morning found no criminal record."
"You think he committed a crime?"
Listening to Nick Fury's words, Natasha Romanoff suddenly laughed.
"Nick, it seems you've been in S.H.I.E.L.D. for too long; you've forgotten some... unconventional methods."
Looking at Nick Fury on the video call, Natasha Romanoff said with a relaxed expression, "For people like us, money never seems to be the hardest thing to obtain."
"Take me, for example. I could easily get my hands on millions without anyone noticing, and the money's origin would definitely withstand any investigation."
"Don't forget, if what's written in the diary is true, then as a superpowered individual who's been with us for over ten years..."
"Do you really think something like that would be difficult for him?"
