Before sitting down, I went to explore the still-empty building. I put on the uniform: simple trousers, a T-shirt, a dark blue jacket with gold details, and the school symbol.
"I'm ready," I said and activated the Codex. "School map."
I went to the kitchen, which was bigger than I expected, with a huge table and utensils swirling in the air. "Like a royal dining hall," I whispered.
The library resembled a temple of knowledge. The shelves reached up to the sky, filled with leather-bound books. "I'll be spending many nights here..."
At the edge of the library, a tall, dark-haired student was flipping through a book. He looked up and smiled at me.
"First day?" he asked.
"Yes, first day, and I'm exploring the space."
He simply nodded, saying, "Mmm, welcome then. I hope you have a good time, although you should know, it's going to be tough."
His voice was calm, but it had a strange tone, as if he knew something I was unaware of. He greeted me with his head, took the book he was holding, and left.
I passed by the gym, the dance school ("What the heck?"), The martial arts section—students performed movements with precision, while the space boiled with energy. Even I, a healer, felt an impulse to try something... maybe.
I also passed by the training park. It was full of targets and mechanisms. A wooden dummy rotated abruptly, striking like lightning. "Why do I have memories of such things? Aurora forgot something..." I thought.
Meanwhile, Aurora at the meditation center suddenly sneezed, causing those around her to look at her in surprise. Why did I have the impression that, somewhere far away, Aurora felt exactly what I was feeling at that moment?
Returning to the room, I got a ready-made meal and began reading the book on the hierarchy of powers. I took a shower and lay down, but I felt strange. Something told me not to go out.
The Codex subtly vibrated. My heart pounded loudly. What was that symbol?
I ultimately preferred to ignore my suspicions and closed my eyes, letting my thoughts sink into the darkness.
Before closing my eyes, I felt the Codex vibrate slightly again. I opened my eyes. Its screen flashed momentarily with a strange, unknown symbol. Then it disappeared, as if it had never existed. What the hell was that?
