The morning sun filtered through the classroom windows as students shuffled in, chatting and laughing before the first lesson. Siti sat at her desk, still a little groggy but smiling as she and Asmawati whispered about last night's chaotic Dead by Daylight session.
"You screamed so loud when the killer found you," Asmawati teased, sipping on her iced tea. "I thought your mom would run in with a slipper."
Siti buried her face in her hands, embarrassed. "Don't remind me… but it was kind of fun. Scary fun. I almost want to play again."
"You will," Asmawati said with a grin. "Tonight."
Before Siti could reply, a voice cut in. "Oi, what are you two talking about?"
They looked up to see Jamal standing by their desk, his bag slung lazily over one shoulder.
"Dead by Daylight," Asmawati answered quickly.
Jamal raised an eyebrow, then turned to Siti. "You? Playing horror games? I thought you'd be into… I don't know… Mario Kart or something."
Siti pouted. "Hey! I can handle horror. I survived one night, okay?"
He chuckled. "Alright, alright. If you really want a horror experience, though, you should try Until Dawn. It's free right now on the PlayStation store. Just download it."
"Until Dawn?" Siti repeated nervously. "Is it… worse than Dead by Daylight?"
"Oh, way scarier," Jamal said, grinning. "But it's different. It's like playing through a movie. Every choice you make matters—someone could live, someone could die. It's about survival."
Siti's eyes widened. "That sounds stressful…"
"It's fun!" Jamal insisted. "Trust me. You'll get hooked."
To Siti's surprise, Asmawati nodded eagerly. "Yeah, Jamal's right. Until Dawn is a classic. If you're brave enough for Dead by Daylight, you should definitely try it. I'd love to see what choices you'd make."
Siti groaned, caught between the two of them. "Why do you both want me to suffer?"
"Because it's fun watching you panic," Asmawati teased.
"And because it's a good game," Jamal added, more seriously. "No excuses—it's free."
The bell rang, signaling the start of class. As students scrambled to their seats, Siti slumped in her chair, defeated. "Fine," she muttered. "I'll download it when I get home."
"Atta girl," Jamal said with a grin.
Asmawati leaned in, whispering, "Don't worry. If you scream, I'll be right there laughing with you."
Siti rolled her eyes but couldn't help smiling. Her world of gaming was growing larger with every day—and with every new friend who pulled her deeper into it.
