Chapter 23 - LEGAL WRATH AND CRUEL SMILE

The air in the principal's office was thick with tension. Daniel stood silently, small but unyielding, his cold eyes scanning the furious faces of the bully families and the trembling school officials. The fox-faced bully's father loomed in the corner, arms crossed, calculating every move, while the mother shouted venomous words toward Daniel's mother.

Daniel's mother clutched his hand, fear and worry etched across her face.

Before anyone could speak further, the office door swung open with authority. Every head turned. Prosecutor Lee entered, his presence commanding absolute silence. The room seemed to shrink under his gaze.

"Enough," Lee's voice cut through the chaos. "This stops right now."

The bully parents' fury faltered as Lee stepped forward, his eyes piercing every adult in the room.

"I am here to make something very clear," Lee continued, stepping close to Daniel. "Any act of violence or harassment toward Daniel or his mother will be met with full legal consequences. I have prepared documentation citing specific laws protecting minors from abuse, harassment, and endangerment. Any attempt to harm them—even indirectly—will not only be criminal but will result in immediate civil action against every individual involved, including the school officials who fail to intervene."

Daniel's cold eyes flickered toward Lee, acknowledging the protection. Then he turned toward the room, his small figure suddenly brimming with confidence, almost monstrous in aura.

"Oh? So the great adults of this school think they can intimidate a ten-year-old? You, sitting there as the principal, the committee, the teachers… And all of you," he said, sweeping his gaze over the bully families, "thinking you can threaten my mother… How pathetic."

His voice, small but cutting, left the room in stunned silence. The fox-faced bully's mother froze mid-curse, her hand trembling.

Daniel's lips curled into a cruel smile. "And you, madam, if you even think about threatening my mother again… you will regret every breath you've taken. Believe me."

The father stayed silent, watching carefully, his eyes narrowing at this tiny adversary who dared speak to his family with such audacity.

The principal, attempting to regain control, cleared his throat. "Now… now calm down—perhaps we can ease this tension—"

Daniel cut him off instantly. His eyes glinted with sharp malice. "Ease this tension? No, let's talk reality."

With deliberate motion, Daniel pulled out a tablet from his backpack and pressed play. The screen filled with footage: his previous beatings at the hands of the bullies, each frame showing the cruelty and violence he endured. The room fell utterly silent, the air thick with dread.

"This," Daniel said coldly, "is only a fraction of what I've suffered. And if this footage ever leaves these walls? Not only the teachers who did nothing, but every bully here, including you," he said, locking eyes with the fox-faced father, "a prominent businessman and a minister, will face consequences from the public and media you can't control. Every lie, every bribe, every abuse… all exposed."

The parents' faces paled, the mother trembling with anger and fear, the father gripping the edge of his chair, suddenly aware of the leverage Daniel held.

Daniel's cruel smile widened, his small figure radiating an almost monstrous confidence. "So now, you can either sit quietly, respect the law, or watch me destroy everything you hold dear. The choice is yours."

Prosecutor Lee stepped closer, placing a steadying hand on Daniel's shoulder. "He's under my protection. Any violation, and the law will take its course. I will personally ensure that these people face consequences. Daniel, you don't have to fight this battle alone."

Daniel gave a small, satisfied nod. His eyes remained icy and calculating, yet a glimmer of dark amusement lingered. This is just the beginning, he thought. Every brick they built against me will fall. And they'll never see it coming.

The room stayed frozen. The bully families and the complicit officials knew that Daniel, with Lee's power and his own terrifying intellect, had already won.

Daniel turned to his mother, who was still trembling. He softened his gaze slightly, small innocence shining through for her alone. "Don't worry, Mom. I'll protect you. All of this… it's just the start."

Outside the office, classmates whispered rumors of Daniel's monstrous presence, the strength of his mind, and the audacity of his actions. Inside, the bully parents and school officials understood the cold, terrifying truth: Daniel Park was a force none could underestimate.
