Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

As soon as Liam arrived at Alpha Rick's mansion, he stepped out of the car and entered the living room. Alpha Rick was there, sipping wine. "You sent for me?" Liam asked.

Alpha Rick put down his wine glass and frowned. "For the past two days, you haven't given me any feedback from the company we want to partner with. Have you chosen a suitable company yet?"

Liam apologized, explaining that he was still finalizing some details, and no proposal worth accepting had been received. Alpha Rick sighed in frustration, wanting the project done quickly.

"I'll work on it and expedite the process," Liam assured him.

Before Liam could leave, Alpha Rick reminded him about the pure one he had requested. "I can't sleep alone tonight," Alpha Rick said.

Liam knew Alpha Rick hated disappointment, so he hesitated to confess that he hadn't contacted Alpha Blake to arrange for werewolf companions. "She's inside the car," Liam lied, hoping to buy some time.

Alpha Rick urged him to bring her in immediately. Liam nodded and turned to retrieve the wolf he had supposedly kept in his car. But to his horror, the wolf was nowhere to be found.

"No, this can't happen. Where the hell is she?" Liam muttered anxiously. He checked inside the car and then sniffed around the mansion compound in a desperate attempt to locate her.

A rogue from Alpha Rick's pack noticed Liam's strange behavior and asked what he was searching for. Liam lied again, claiming he was simply admiring the beauty of the mansion since it's been long he visited. The rogue found his explanation odd but decided not to pry further, and he walked away.

Meanwhile, Maya, the missing wolf, approached Liam from behind with her wolf fang fingers ready to fight. Liam rolled his eyes and said, "Seriously? Pull those fingers back. You don't want to fight a beta."

Maya hesitated, unsure of Liam's intentions. But when Liam grabbed her and forcefully pushed her into the car, she realized he wasn't there to harm her physically. He warned her not to attempt any fights, emphasizing that she would not survive.

Fearful, Maya reverted her wolf fang fingers to their normal form. Liam noticed her dirt-covered appearance and became frustrated, fearing that Alpha Rick might not find her suitable.

He asked Maya which pack she came from, but she refused to give answer. "Why would I tell you?" Maya retorted.

Liam, feeling cornered, threatened her life if she didn't comply. Liam's voice turned cold. "Because if you don't, you won't live to see tomorrow."

Maya hesitated, then reluctantly, she revealed her pack's name to be wind winder pack. Liam looks surprised and said she's not making sense because the pack territory supposed to be in Florida not Canada.

But Liam don't have time to debate on that, feeling desperate to impress Alpha Rick, Liam instructed Maya on how to clean up and fix her appearance. "You have to look presentable," he told her. "Your life depends on it."

Maya couldn't comprehend why Liam wanted her to clean up and follow him. "Why would I do that? I don't even know you," she asked defiantly.

"I don't have time to explain," Liam replied sternly. "Just fix your clothes and come with me."

Though furious, Maya managed to control her anger and reluctantly followed Liam. As they approached the mansion's entrance, Liam abruptly stopped, and Maya wondered what was wrong. "What's your name?" Liam asked.

Maya raised an eyebrow, confused. "Why does it matter?"

"Just answer me," Liam snapped. "Your name."

She sighed, feeling annoyed but complied. "It's Maya."

"Fine, Maya," Liam acknowledged. The moment they stepped inside, Maya was mesmerized by the mansion's beauty. Everything appeared pure white, resembling heaven.

As they walked further, they noticed a figure standing with his back to them. The man was enormous, dressed in a black robe. "Alpha Rick, she's here," Liam said.

Alpha Rick turned around, revealing his handsome yet fierce appearance. Upon seeing him, Maya felt a sense of fear, but she mustered the courage to compose herself.

However, Alpha Rick seemed displeased with Maya's appearance. "What is this?" he asked Liam. "I thought you said she's the pure one. She looks dirty and disgusting, with bruises. Did she fight with you?"

Liam tried to explain that he accidentally hit her with the car, but Alpha Rick's insults became too much for Maya to bear. She couldn't understand everything they were saying, but she knew Alpha Rick had no right to insult her.

She interrupted angrily, "Enough! You can't talk to me like that, even if I don't understand your words!"

Alpha Rick narrowed his eyes, clearly irritated by her outburst. Liam realized Maya had made a mistake and tried to defuse the situation by standing in front of Maya. Making excuses for her by saying maybe it's was the car that hit her head, but Maya pushed Liam away from her front.

Alpha Rick watched the scene unfold, intrigued by Maya's unexpected reaction. He asked for her name, and Liam mistakenly answered, "Milan." Maya corrected him, saying, "My name is Maya, not Milan."

Alpha Rick snapped his fingers, summoning two female maids who knelt before him. He ordered them to take Maya away and clean her up. Maya protested, asking what they planned to do to her, but Alpha Rick dismissed her concern.

Maya couldn't believe her luck as she was dragged away by the maids. Her mind raced with questions while shouting, "What are they going to do to me?" She couldn't understand the conversation that had just unfolded. The maids led her to a luxurious guest room, where they instructed her to freshen up and get cleaned. Maya complied, still feeling a mix of fear and confusion.

Meanwhile, Alpha Rick turned his attention back to Liam. "Milan, huh? You can't even remember her name properly," he scoffed.

Liam tried to correct himself, "No, Alpha, it's Maya. My mistake, I apologize."

Alpha Rick waved off Liam's apology and said, "Well, she doesn't look pure at all. I don't know what you were thinking. She's dirty, injured, and doesn't seem to be in her right mind."

"I understand your concerns, Alpha," Liam replied, feeling the weight of the situation. "But trust me, she might not look pure, but she is pure. I've looked into her background; she's from a reputable pack before being sold to Alpha Blake."

Alpha Rick's eyes narrowed as he scrutinized Liam. "You better not be playing games with me, Liam. Because I want this night to be special to me, and I can't afford to lay with unpurified wolf!"

Liam nodded earnestly. "I promise you, Alpha, she's the right one. You won't be disappointed."

Alpha Rick sighed and said, "Fine, let's see how this goes. But if she turns out not pure or causes any trouble, you'll bear the consequences."

"I understand, Alpha," Liam replied, relieved that Alpha Rick was willing to give Maya a chance but in his heart, he was wishing for Maya to be pure one.

Meanwhile, in the guest room, Maya had freshened up and cleaned herself as best she could. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, her wolf fang fingers now gone. Her bruises were still visible, a stark reminder of her rough journey.

As she stood there, lost in her thoughts and what is going to happen to her that night, the door opened, and Alpha Rick entered. Maya tensed, unsure of his intentions.
