Leif pov
My father's coffin is slowly lowered into his final resting place, a place he would like to
turn into a living hell for all eternity. My mother, her face impassive, watches the burial,
shedding a few tears to show the few people who came that she is in pain.
Actually, only our employees and a couple of my father's friends are there. Everyone else
is afraid of my presence because of the atrocities I've committed in the last few days
trying to find Raisa.
And that includes what I did to my father, although I wouldn't call it an atrocity to justice.
Yesterday I found out he was the one who kicked her out after seducing her. I didn't need
to know his reasons or justifications; I simply subjected him to the same pain I feel every
second she's not with me.
I need to find her before it's too late. I know she's still alive, because if she weren't, I
wouldn't be alive either.
Raisa has to live and come back to me. I won't stop destroying everything until she does. I don't care if we can't be together or if I can't bring myself to look her in the eye-she has to be with me. And when I find her, I'll make her pay dearly for ever setting her eyes on
him.
Once they start throwing dirt, I turn around and walk purposefully toward the exit. No one dares to stop me, but I feel my mother's eyes on me, and before long, she catches up with me.
"Where do you think you're going, Leif?" he asks. "It's your father's funeral."
"He's not my father," I say, stopping. "And why do you blame me? Not even Eden's there."
-I know what you did and I know you don't want to be here, but it's your duty as pack leader.
"M'I be the pack's executioner if she doesn't show up," I mutter. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I must get home. I need to get ready."
"Are you going to keep looking for that woman? For God's sake, Leif, you have a duty to your wife, who may have been left..."

No, she didn't get pregnant. And how could she be if you haven't even done anything with her since you got married? And I won't do it until he shows up.
I separate myself from my mother and walk as fast as I can. Luckily, she's out of reach, and I can get into the car.
I need to get back to Mount Redmoon, where I found a trace of her scent in that cabin.
She was there for several days before leaving, so now I'm sure she knows how wrong she was and wants to escape.
I won't let her play this game for any reason.
The walk to my residence seems disgustingly long. I can't transform now, because I'll end up losing the little lucidity I've gained these days. When I join Kael, he won't leave me alone, suffocating me with his pain, which is also mine. We're both in agony, but he's the only one who believes Raisa is innocent of everything she's accused of. I can't be sure, not when she's so beautiful and I absolutely had to know.
When I get out of the car, a woman is standing in front of the door. It's her. Or not, maybe
not. Raisa would never look at me like that.
Leif? I finally found you. That?
The image of Raisa disappears, replaced by that of the woman I married. I can't regret my
decision, but an endless rage consumes me, fueled by Kael, who urges me not to stop
until all those responsible for Raisa's absence are punished
-Leif, no!
Screams of terror echo throughout the room, but no one dares to intervene. When I come
to, I see the red and blonde strands of hair decorating the room.
"'What did you do, alpha?!" shouts Kevin, my beta.
"'Nothing I regret, I shrug. "And if you don't want the same thing to happen to you, then
you'll clean everything up."
I turn around and run out of the house. Kael's still screaming, the noise so loud it's making my head spin, but at least he seems happier.
However, no one can rest easy. We are nothing if things aren't in their proper place.
"You have to find her. I'lI let you do whatever you want, but you have to find her. She's in danger, he pleads.
"I know, of course I know," | grumble, looking at my stained hands. "Now we're left withaut a moon."
I start laughing, not because I'm having fun, but because I no longer have control of myself.
She is our only moon, he sobs.
I clench my teeth and fists. No, she can't be our moon, even if she wants to be.
"You said you'd let her do whatever she wanted, and that doesn't mean she's our moon.
When we get her back, we'll keep her safe, and you'll never-listen to me-never question
my decisions."
"I'm willing to leave you alone forever, as long as you can find her, he replies.
I kneel on the ground, feeling her pain. Kael is truly willing to do anything, just like me. We
finally agree that we have to protect her.
