At the Admiral's office, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, who had just assumed command, was busy handling documents.
"Da-da-da…"
The Den Den Mushi suddenly rang. Sengoku set down the papers and picked it up. "This is Sengoku."
"Sengoku! What is going on with your Marines?! Don't you know Tenjōkin was annihilated in the Kingdom of Warriors?!"
Before Sengoku could respond, a torrent of curses blared through the Den Den Mushi.
Sengoku's expression changed drastically. Tenjōkin was the fleet responsible for transporting tribute from allied nations—it held great significance. Its destruction was a blatant provocation against the Celestial Dragons!
At the same time, Sengoku felt a headache coming on. He had just taken over as Fleet Admiral, and such an incident occurred without his knowledge. Meanwhile, the Five Elders already knew about it—did this mean he was incompetent?
"Five Elders, I've already ordered my subordinates to investigate. The results should be ready soon," Sengoku said in a low voice.
"It's useless to investigate now. The perpetrators have already fled! Do you know who attacked?" the Five Elders barked angrily.
"Well…" Sengoku's face flushed red and then pale. Though the Five Elders were his superiors, he was still the Fleet Admiral. Couldn't they give him a little face? Although he was furious, Sengoku didn't dare speak back—he truly didn't know the culprit. If not for the call, he wouldn't even know this had happened.
Seeing this, Sengoku fell silent, listening quietly to the scolding.
"Forget it. For now, we won't hold you accountable. I'll send you the culprit's information shortly. The attack on Tenjōkin's fleet has violated the dignity of the Celestial Dragons, and also the authority of the World Government. You must hunt them down worldwide and capture them at all costs. That's all."
After saying this, the Five Elders hung up.
Sengoku put down the Den Den Mushi, took a deep breath, and said sternly, "Guards, enter."
"Yes, Fleet Admiral." A soldier quickly stepped in.
Sengoku's face was cold, his eyes sharp. "Go and summon the admirals and Vice Admiral Garp."
"Yes, sir." The soldier bowed and left.
Once the soldier departed, Sengoku slammed his fist onto the desk. Bang! The table cracked at the center and splintered onto the floor.
"This is outrageous!"
Meanwhile, in a room in the Kingdom of Daughters, Hunter lay on a bed. Not far from him were two swords and two treasure chests.
The chests contained the three Devil Fruits looted from Tenjōkin, plus one Devil Fruit as payment from the Kingdom of Daughters for rescuing the Hancock sisters—a total of four Devil Fruits.
The two swords had also been taken from Tenjōkin's fleet.
Seeing the four Devil Fruits and two swords, Hunter's eyes glittered with excitement, a smile spreading across his face. Although the journey had been exhausting, it had been worth it.
Now, he needed to make another exchange. Even with Little Sky as an ally, it wasn't enough. Little Sky was an external force; Hunter needed to grow stronger himself.
"System, didn't you say these swords meet the requirements for special energy?" Hunter asked.
"Both swords possess the power of slaughter and the might of spirits, meeting the special energy criteria. However, the energy contained within them is too scarce. Combined, they can only increase the exchange count by one."
The cold voice echoed in Hunter's mind.
"Exchange, then." Hunter didn't hesitate. Though the swords were excellent, he didn't know swordsmanship. Keeping them would be useless; better to increase the exchange count.
"Exchange successful. Random exchange count increased by one."
Hunter touched his chin. The issue of exchange count was now solved; next was choosing the item to exchange.
Under the rules of random exchange, the system didn't care about the item's value—everything was random. Even with four Devil Fruits, he could end up getting junk in return.
If he received worthless items, it would be a huge loss—there wouldn't be another Tenjōkin fleet to loot.
After some thought, Hunter took out a book of sword techniques, also looted from Tenjōkin. It contained the insights of a legendary swordsman, once offered by a king to the Celestial Dragons.
Looking at the book, Hunter decided to use it for exchange.
"System, exchange this sword manual randomly," Hunter said.
Immediately, a white light enveloped the sword manual.
"Exchange successful. Obtained Extreme: Riki Sword."
