Chapter 2 - The unexpected attack

Kyung Joo's eyes scanned the darkness, his senses on high alert. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. A man in his early thirties, with a strong build, but his outgrown beard and wrinkled face made him look worn out. Kyung Joo couldn't help but think to himself, "Wish I had that body, not the face."

The man charged at Kyung Joo, his movements swift and deadly. Kyung Joo instinctively dodged the attack, but the man's speed and agility caught him off guard. The man landed a blow, sending Kyung Joo crashing to the ground.

The fight was intense, with both combatants exchanging blows. Kyung Joo's training kicked in, and he managed to avoid several attacks, but the man's strength and ferocity eventually took its toll. Kyung Joo stumbled back, his vision blurring.

The man landed a devastating kick, sending Kyung Joo flying across the clearing. He crashed into a tree, his body crumpling to the ground. The man approached him, his eyes filled with a mix of fear and confusion.

"What's going on?" the man muttered to himself. "Why...?"

Kyung Joo's vision was fading, his body battered and bruised. He looked up at the man, his eyes filled with a mixture of pain and desperation.

"I wish I was never born," Kyung Joo whispered to himself. "I wish for everything to go more smoothly in my next life..."

The man raised his foot, ready to deliver the final blow. But just as he was about to strike, a voice echoed through the forest.

"Wait."

The man's eyes widened in fear, and he stumbled backward. Kyung Joo's eyes fluttered closed, and he thought to himself, "I thought you would never come."

As the man's vision faded, he thought he saw Kyung Joo's body go limp, his life slipping away. But Kyung Joo's eyes snapped open, a hint of a smile on his lips.

The man's fear turned to confusion, and he stumbled backward, tripping over his own feet. As he fell, he saw Kyung Joo's eyes gleam with an otherworldly intensity.

And then, everything went black.
