GTAG Chapter 81 Arrival of Annihilation
Godzilla did not fear clashing with Singular Point Godzilla—or at least, not the version that had yet to reach its final form. At only fifty meters tall, Godzilla could pin it down and crush it with brute force. Still, it was a higher-dimensional being, and Godzilla decided to give it some respect by not provoking it too early.
He organized his thoughts and set out a plan.
First, find a random kaiju and devour its corpse.
Then head into the Resident Evil world to digest it and test whether anything useful could be gained.
After that, proceed to the next stage.
If things went as he hoped, and he managed to acquire the ability to manipulate Red Dust, then he would return to the Singular Point world, gather enough Red Dust, and store it temporarily in the Resident Evil universe.
If not, then there was only one option left—confront Singular Point Godzilla while it was still in its early, rapidly growing phase, and take a chunk of flesh from it. If he could kill it outright, all the better. But from what he had observed, Singular Point Godzilla likely had no true weak point; destroying its head or heart might only halt it temporarily, not kill it completely.
That confrontation, however, would remain a last resort.
Why the Resident Evil world? Caution.
Godzilla suspected Singular Point Godzilla might have ways of tracking him, and experimenting with Red Dust in his own reality was too great a risk.
Even if his homeworld were destroyed, Godzilla could still move on to another—but he had no habit of abandoning his domain so casually, and the idea of settling permanently in a foreign world unsettled him.
Still, he realized how little information he had about Singular Point's world. Without it, planning was guesswork. At least, if he acted fast, the danger would remain manageable.
Godzilla first stepped into the Resident Evil world. The familiar vast ocean greeted him. Ensuring secrecy, he destroyed all portals linking back to his original world, cutting off the chance that its location would be exposed. Only then did he make the jump into the world of Godzilla: Singular Point.
This time, he did not descend into the sea. He remembered well that Singular Point Godzilla first appeared in aquatic form, resembling some colossal fusion of whale and mosasaur. Landing in the ocean risked an early, disastrous encounter.
Instead, he emerged in a small woodland. The trees around him were thin and barely knee-high by his scale, no more than saplings. His towering form stood out instantly. There was no hiding.
Godzilla raised his head and saw the vast stretch of ocean nearby. He had landed on the coast, on the beaches of Japan. Crowds of humans dotted the sand, vacationers unaware of what was now in their midst.
This was the land most saturated with Red Dust—the very place where Singular Point Godzilla and Salunga would appear. Other kaiju carried traces of Red Dust, but only clinging to their skin. The true dispersal came from the swarms of flying Rodans, scattering Red Dust as they spread.
Rodan was his target. Their speed would make them hard to catch, but that only made the hunt more enticing.
Godzilla began to walk forward. Each step cracked and splintered the trees beneath his feet. An air raid siren wailed suddenly, startling the people on the beach. Long years of peace had dulled their instincts. Instead of running, many pulled out their phones, hoping to record something worth posting.
Then someone spotted him.
"Look—what is that?"
All eyes turned and froze. A monster, over one hundred fifty meters tall, was striding directly toward them. Confusion and curiosity vanished instantly. Only terror remained.
Some screamed and scattered, their panicked minds too broken to plan any route of escape. Others stood paralyzed, their bodies refusing to obey even as fleeing crowds knocked them aside. Without help, those frozen by shock would surely perish.
Godzilla paid them no attention. He strode past the broken woodland and surveyed the coastline. He was already at the highest point of the terrain. Perfect.
He stopped, lifted his head toward the sky, and waited. Waited for Rodan to appear.
The entire world soon descended into panic at his sudden manifestation.
Japan, where he stood, fell into chaos. Other nations watched with dread but also a detached sense of relief—he wasn't in their territory, after all. Surely Japan's government or the international community would deal with the beast.
But those who knew more, those who had studied the old notes of a madman that time had proven frighteningly accurate, were far more horrified. If Godzilla was real, if everything written was true, then their world had no future. Only annihilation.
And Godzilla's arrival… could it mean annihilation had already begun?
