Chapter 85 - Chapter 85 I think we have some misunderstanding

In short, if he chose to act here... he'd be dead, unless he could deliver a fatal blow, leaving Kaisen no time for any extra movements.

Hmm... a bit difficult.

"I'm sorry, no need for that," Kaisen leaned back in his chair, observing the Lockhart in front of him through his monocle.

First, murder should be out of the question; the Professor lineup at Hogwarts, for Dark Wizards, truly consists of villains through and through, not a single wand among them hasn't dealt with a few Dark Wizards.

When Dumbledore was young, he was even a master who killed his way from London to Paris with his wand, wand up, wand down, his arm not even getting sore.

But even so, his profile was of a pure human and magic, with nothing strange added.

So, if one option is removed, it should be the other, ahem... the traditional craft of the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor.

For example... being possessed, just like Quirrell was possessed by Lord Voldemort last year.

He just didn't know who was possessing Lockhart this year.

"That's truly a shame," Tom shook his head, his expression, in Kaisen's eyes, was Lockhart's flamboyant and pretentious face being controlled by an introverted and steady soul.

Now he was 100% certain that this Lockhart was definitely possessed.

"Mm-hmm..."

Tom showed no expression as he listened to the Professor's soft hum, simply turning around and once again walking that long path towards the office door.

Kaisen, leaning back in his chair, watched coldly until, a few minutes later, Tom reached the office door, and then Kaisen suddenly extended his hand.

A gust of wind suddenly swept through the enormous office, and as strands of darkness and this increasingly powerful, bizarre hurricane grew, Tom turned back in surprise.

He saw Professor Kaisen, still lazily leaning back in his chair beneath the French windows, just as he had been when Tom first entered.

What was different was his outstretched hand; the palm of that hand was like a vortex of some giant celestial body, and an unmatched, immense gravitational pull emanated from it.

Tom immediately dared not look back. He finally understood at that moment that this damn Alchemy Professor was not some soft persimmon who was only slightly stronger than Lockhart.

If he was a soft persimmon, then Dumbledore, that old fossil, was at most a peeled orange.

However, Tom quickly had no time for such brainstorming. He was now single-mindedly pushing towards the office door, which was within reach, even running without any regard for his image.

Just as he reached out and grasped the doorknob, the slowly approaching vortex of gravity finally seized him.

As he was yanked back by this strange vortex of gravity, Tom almost instantly pulled out his wand and spun around.

"Avada Kedavra!"

This deadly spell was blocked by a piece of obsidian, but luckily, it also made the strange vortex of gravity finally disappear.

He quickly cast two Shield Charms on himself, watching Kaisen slowly stand up.

The latter pulled his staff from his sleeve and began to toy with it: "I knew it, you aren't Gilderoy Lockhart. That good-for-nothing couldn't possibly cast Avada Kedavra."

Tom gripped his wand tightly: "Then if I hadn't resisted, and you had captured me? Would you have let me go?"

"Not necessarily, it depends on my mood. I might plant you in a flowerpot."

"Got it... Avada Kedavra!"

Another Avada Kedavra struck, but this time there was no sudden obsidian to block it; instead, the spell hit the large French window, not even causing a decent crack.

"What's wrong? Are you also a good-for-nothing? No, strictly speaking, Lockhart is even better than you, at least he has his own body, and you, a soul? A lonely ghost?"

The voice came from behind. Tom quickly turned and saw Kaisen standing behind him with his hands behind his back, and strange chains, formed by regular hexagons embedded with triangles, had unknowingly surrounded him, extending from his body.

"Curse Flame!" Tom felt a deep repulsion for this strange, unseen thing that was outside his control. He immediately conjured Fiendfyre, wanting to burn these strange chains to ashes.

However, as luck would have it, completely opposite to the chaotic and disordered Fiendfyre, these chains were precisely formed from the order elements Kaisen had previously extracted from the Order Crystal, immediately firmly imprisoning the Fiendfyre.

After controlling the flames, water blocks appeared and disappeared in the blink of an eye, and the Fiendfyre that had just been baring its fangs was gone without a trace in an instant.

Tom's face was a little pale as he looked at the man in front of him, who stood with his hands behind his back, leisurely observing him, and he uncharacteristically swallowed.

This feeling was just like that moment in the distant depths of his memory when Dumbledore appeared in his room, casually waving his wand and burning his cabinet.

Although the expressive power of the two could not be compared, the strange feeling they caused, that feeling of being utterly unable to resist, was as if the other party stood there merely to observe your next move with the investigative gaze one would use on an experiment or a pet.

"Now, can you tell me who you are?"

Kaisen walked over and asked.

"As long as I don't say it, no one will know," Tom said with a malicious smile.

"What you've done always leaves traces. Let me guess, Lockhart's body doesn't have anything strange added. You're possessing him through some kind of strange object as a medium?" Kaisen said, circling Tom.

"You guess?"

"It seems I was right. Is that thing on Lockhart now? We're all civilized people, if you just tell me, I can save myself the trouble of stripping this guy... Let's all be decent."

"You and Lockhart are the indecent ones, what does that have to do with me?"

Kaisen nodded: "Hmm, you're right." Then, crackling lightning slowly began to emanate from his hand.

"Honestly, I really regret not knowing the Cruciatus Curse."

Just as the lightning in his hand was about to touch Lockhart's body, Tom suddenly stuck out his tongue at Kaisen.

"I told you, unless I want to, no one will ever know who I am or where I came from."

The next moment, Lockhart's body twitched, and in the blink of an eye, the strangeness and intelligence in his eyes disappeared, replaced by clarity and foolishness.

He looked at the grim-faced Kaisen in front of him and the flickering lightning in his hand, and couldn't help but swallow.

"I think we might have a bit of a misunderstanding."
