Chapter 7 - Chapter 6— The Reality Adjustment Protocol

"Man… I'm fucking rich now…"

But even in the middle of his excitement, a note of caution rang inside him.

"Wait a sec… it can't really be that easy, right? We're talking about a massive amount of money. If I suddenly dump hundreds of thousands of euros into my account, won't the bank—or hell, the government—get suspicious?"

Michael knew how the real world worked. Banks didn't just smile and wave when big sums suddenly appeared. They filed reports. Auditors, tax officials, maybe even some shady security agency could start poking their noses around.

Michael frowned.

He immediately asked the system,

"Sista, if I convert a huge amount of euros all at once, won't Earth's authorities think something's up? How the hell would I even prove it's legit?"

[Host, an excellent question. Earth's financial system is extremely sensitive. If a large transaction suddenly occurs, it will fall under AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations, which could trigger investigations.]

Michael narrowed his eyes.

"So… what, they throw me in jail? Because there's no way I can explain this to them."

[No, Host. They won't arrest you—if you use the system correctly. The Currency Converter doesn't just change money, it also activates the Reality Adjustment Protocol. That means, however the money enters your account, Earth's records will also generate a 'legitimate source.' For example—profits from the stock market, returns from an old investment, winning the lottery, or income from a business… all fabricated to match.]

Michael held his breath, listening.

"…So if two million euros suddenly land in my account, the records will show I hit the lottery?"

[Exactly. However—remember this—every major transfer has an effect on Earth's economy. That's why the system has a Limit Protocol. If you try to convert a very large amount all at once, you'll need to take it in steps. Also, keep in mind—if you suddenly gain too much money, it will draw suspicion. So proceed carefully.]

Michael nodded slightly.

"Yeah, that makes sense. If millions of dollars were coming into my account every day, my family, my friends—even the government—would start asking questions. I need to move gradually… smartly."

[Correct. Remember, Host—wealth is a powerful weapon, but if you're careless, it can destroy you.]

"Hmm… looks like just getting money isn't enough. I'll need a plan—so I can stay rich, without anyone ever suspecting a thing."

His eyes once again gleamed with that greedy light.

"This is gonna be fun. Risky as hell… but fun."

Carefully, he extended his finger and pressed Convert.

[Processing… please wait.]

A soft ding echoed, and glowing words appeared on the screen—

Transaction Complete. 24,000 Euros have been added to your linked Earth Account.

[ATTRIBUTES]

Wealth (Eldravia): 0 (Liquid Assets)

Earth Currency: 24,000 Euros

Assets: None

D-Coins: 499

"Hm… so I can turn these into cash anytime I want. Great."

A new screen appeared before Michael's eyes.

[Mission Reminder: Complete your first Cross-Dimensional Trade. 71 Hours 45 Minutes Remaining…]

"Ah, shit. That's the real priority. If I don't finish this, the whole damn system is gone. But… what the hell am I even supposed to sell?"

[Host, you can trade anything—so long as someone is willing to buy it. Remember, the essence of business is demand and trust. I suggest you first visit the other world's marketplace, observe what the locals need, and then start your first trade accordingly. Keep in mind—you are a street trader.]

"Ah, street trader… great. Never even managed to land a girlfriend, and now I'm a trader in another world."

He raised his hand.

"Alright… open the gate to Eldravia."

The two screens reappeared in front of him.

[Portal opening to Eldravia…]

[Dimensional Energy Consumed: 5%]

The portal opened and he stepped inside.

He had also taken along the old pistol he found in the iron box—just in case something dangerous happened. But even with it in hand, he wasn't sure if it would work, since the weapon was nearly 80 years old.

After walking some distance, he heard voices. Peeking through the bushes, he saw a man tying up two people—one middle-aged man and one woman. Others were ransacking a wagon.

"Holy shit… this is straight out of some old-school robbery scene in a movie."

Then a message popped up from the system.

[Host, you have encountered people. You should approach them and try to conduct business. This is your opportunity to complete your first mission.]

Michael hissed, "Are you insane? There are five of them. Swords, knives, the whole medieval loadout—and I'm alone. Sure, I've got the pistol, but it's 80 years old. I don't even know if it'll fire without exploding in my hand."

[That doesn't matter. You'll eventually have to do business with people far more dangerous than this. Consider this your beginning. Approach them and attempt to sell something.]

"Goddammit… could you not have found me a better starting point? You know, like in those anime or novels where the MC gets a cool entrance."

But before he could complain further, one of the bandits—a grizzled man with a beard—caught sight of him.

"Hey! Who's that over there? That weirdly dressed guy!"

In an instant, all four of the others turned their eyes toward him.

Michael exhaled sharply.

"Shit… caught already."

Slowly, he stepped out of the bushes, hands raised. His jeans, hoodie, and sneakers looked utterly alien in this world.

The bandits muttered among themselves.

"What strange clothes…"

"Is he a wizard?"

"Hey, look at that odd piece of iron in his hand."
